Forgiveness, what does that mean?

In Society today forgiveness means “you did not do it”.

However, when you look at the Bible as a whole it means “you did it but I’m (meaning God) not mad at all”.

You see He included faith with forgiveness:
Acts 26:18
18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'
NIV

Don’t forget that God is omni. So what you did in the past, will do today or may do in the future has already been seen by Him and forgiven, it did happen but He forgave you.

Remember when Satan thought he was better than God? Well, he still does so that is why Society thinks what they think.

It is possible for someone to be very good but they cannot be perfect. God made us so He knows us good and bad and He made us part of His family.

And there is nothing that we can do that He hasn’t seen or doesn’t know. He included faith for a reason.
