1 Kings 11:6 6 Solomon openly defied GOD; he did not follow in his father David's footsteps
1 Kings 11:1 King Solomon was obsessed with women
1 Kings 9:6-8 if you or your sons betray me, ignoring my guidance and judgments, taking up with alien gods by serving and worshiping them, 7 then the guarantee is off: I'll wipe Israel right off the map and repudiate this Temple I've just sanctified to honor my Name. And Israel will become nothing but a bad joke among the peoples of the world. 8 And this Temple, splendid as it now is, will become an object of contempt; visitors will shake their heads, saying, 'Whatever happened here?
1 Kings 9:3-5 3 And GOD said to him 4 As for you, if you live in my presence as your father David lived, pure in heart and action, living the life I've set out for you, attentively obedient to my guidance and judgments, 5 then I'll back your kingly rule over Israel, make it a sure thing on a solid foundation. Did he?
1 Kings 8:30 Listen from your home in heaven and when you hear, forgive. Telling God what/when/how and why to do things is not needed, what human was around to tell Him when He created everything?
1 Kings 8:30 Listen from your home in heaven It isn’t necessary for us to ask God to do this, He just does
Solomon built the temple of God specifically using “eye candy” which made him look good to people and people destroyed it. Scriptures say that we are the temple of God now so WE have to be careful not to dress it up with eye candy or people will destroy us
1 Kings 6:11-12 11 The word of GOD came to Solomon saying, 12 "About this Temple you are building — what's important is that you live the way I've set out for you and do what I tell you, following my instructions carefully and obediently Specifically: Don’t worship other gods…
1 Kings 4:29 29 God gave Solomon wisdom — the deepest of understanding and the largest of hearts not some college...
1 Kings 3:3 Solomon loved GOD and continued to live in the God-honoring ways of David his father, except that he also worshiped at the local shrines, offering sacrifices and burning incense. Sacrifices that were no sacrifice. What had God said would happen to David’s family IF they followed Him alone?
1 Kings 3:3 Solomon loved GOD and continued to live in the God-honoring ways of David his father, except that he also worshiped at the local shrines, offering sacrifices and burning incense. Sacrifices that were no sacrifice. What had God said would happen to David’s family IF following Him alone?
2 Sam 24:24 I'm not going to offer GOD, my God, sacrifices that are no sacrifice.
2 Sam 22:28 28 You take the side of the down-and-out The great reversal
2 Sam 22:25 25 GOD rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes
2 Sam 15:30 Mount of Olives This is in the New Testament too! It’s where Jesus, the son of God, went to pray to God.
2 Sam 15:5 Whenever someone would treat him with special honor, he'd shrug it off and treat him like an equal, making him feel important
1 Sam 26:23 23 It's GOD's business to decide what to do with each of us in regard to what's right and who's loyal
1 Sam 26:20 you'll not separate me from GOD in life or death

1 Sam 18:12 It was clear that GOD was with David and had left Saul. 1 Sam 18:17 all the time Saul was thinking, "The Philistines will kill him for me. I won't have to lift a hand against him." As when difficult as it is for humans to realize, when God is with you-no one can get you
1 Sam 17:56 find out the lineage of this raw youth instead of simply checking with the creator people check with created beings
1 Sam 17:44 44 "Come on," said the Philistine. "I'll make roadkill of you for the buzzards. I'll turn you into a tasty morsel for the field mice." The great reversal
1 Sam 16:7 GOD judges persons differently than humans do. Men and women look at the face; GOD looks into the heart.
1 Sam 15:23 Getting self-important around GOD is far worse than making deals with your dead ancestors.
1 Sam 10:22 22 Samuel went back to GOD: "Is he anywhere around?" GOD said, "Yes, he's right over there — hidden in that pile of baggage." The great reversal
1 Sam 9:21 21 Saul answered, "But I'm only a Benjaminite, from the smallest of Israel's tribes, and from the most insignificant clan in the tribe at that. The great reversal
1 Sam 2:4 4 The weapons of the strong are smashed to pieces, while the weak are infused with fresh strength. The great reversal
Ruth 4:13 By GOD's gracious gift she conceived
Ruth 1:16-17 16 But Ruth said, "Don't force me to leave you; don't make me go home. Where you go, I go; and where you live, I'll live. Your people are my people, your God is my god; 17 where you die, I'll die, and that's where I'll be buried, so help me GOD — not even death itself is going to come between us!" This must be our commitment to God!
Judg 14:3 3 His parents said to him, "Isn't there a woman among the girls in the neighborhood of our people? Do you have to go get a wife from the uncircumcised Philistines?" The great reversal
Judg 11:34-35 34 Jephthah came home to Mizpah. His daughter ran from the house to welcome him home — dancing to tambourines! She was his only child. He had no son or daughter except her. 35 When he realized who it was, he ripped his clothes The great reversal actually, Jesus was God's son thus the great reversal!
God has never chosen to use people who were thought to be special, He always uses just normal people who aren’t thought to be special so that humans will focus on Him and not them
Judg 11:1 He was the son of a whore The great reversal
Judg 6:15 15 Gideon said to him, "Me, my master? How and with what could I ever save Israel? Look at me. My clan's the weakest in Manasseh and I'm the runt of the litter." The great reversal…
Josh 24:19 you're not able to worship GOD. He is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He won't put up with your fooling around
Josh 23:10 10 Think of it — one of you, single-handedly, putting a thousand on the run! The great reversal
Josh 14:14 because he gave himself totally to GOD If we hope to live eternally with Him we must do the same

Josh 10:42 GOD, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.
Josh 10:12-14 Joshua spoke to GOD, with all Israel listening: "Stop, Sun, over Gibeon; Halt, Moon, over Aijalon Valley." 13 And Sun stopped, Moon stood stock still Until he defeated his enemies. (You can find this written in the Book of Jashar.) The sun stopped in its tracks in mid sky; just sat there all day. 14 There's never been a day like that before or since
Josh 9:14 14 The men of Israel looked them over and accepted the evidence. But they didn't ask GOD about it. This is a prime example of: I can trust myself versus I can trust God
Josh 6:27 27 GOD was with Joshua. He became famous all over the land.
Josh 6:2y 25 But Joshua let Rahab the harlot live Hmm, reminds me of Hosea… The great reversal
Josh 5:15 15 GOD's army commander ordered Joshua, "Take your sandals off your feet. The place you are standing is holy." Joshua did it. This same thing happened to Moses at the burning bush
Josh 5:12 As soon as they started eating food grown in the land, there was no more manna for the People of Israel. That year they ate from the crops of Canaan.
Josh 4:22 'Israel crossed over this Jordan on dry ground.'
Josh 2:1 They left and arrived at the house of a harlot named Rahab and stayed there. They didn’t just happen to find Rahab, this is the great reversal…
Deut 32:48-50 48 That same day GOD spoke to Moses: 49 "Climb the Abarim Mountains to Mount Nebo in the land of Moab, overlooking Jericho, and view the land of Canaan that I'm giving the People of Israel to have and hold. 50 Die on the mountain that you climb and join your people in the ground, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and joined his people. If God said this to someone as dedicated as Moses then what will He do to you?
We know what God did to Sodom & Gomorrah and to the entire Earth in Noah’s time so we know that He can and will do it again
God said: Deut 32:39 I bring death and I give life, I wound and I heal — there is no getting away from or around me!
Deut 29:14-15 14 I'm not making this Covenant and its oath with you alone. 15 I am making it with you who are standing here today in the Presence of GOD, our God, yes, but also with those who are not here today That’s YOU!
Deut 29:10 10 You are all standing here today in the Presence of GOD God NEVER changes
Deut 29:9 9 Diligently keep the words of this Covenant. If the Old Testament didn’t apply to us then why would it say this?
Deut 28:68 68 GOD will ship you back to Egypt Back to slavery!
Deut 28:63 Just as GOD once enjoyed you, took pleasure in making life good for you, giving you many children, so GOD will enjoy getting rid of you This will happen! Life on this Earth may seem easy for you but life in Heaven won’t be, in fact it won’t even happen for you
Deut 28:13 GOD will make you the head, not the tail God says this in the Old Testament but in the New Testament He says to be content to play second fiddle
The original Israelites were told that the land that they would inherit would be a land lowing with milk and honey but they weren’t happy with that and they made it what they wanted. The inheritance is now in Heaven but the inheritance is still the same
Because we have not yet inherited the promised land of Heaven, God’s commandments on how to live there in the Old Testament haven’t changed for us. The testament has changed, it has gone from Earthly to Heavenly but the requirements are the same
In the Old Testament God, who never changes, was extremely detailed about things that He expects us to do and because He doesn’t change, neither have His requirements
Deut 21:13 you may go to bed with her as husband and wife people go to bed with other people-just because they want to NOT because they’re husband and wife
Deut 19:9 love GOD, your God, and do what he tells you all your life
Deut 17:14-15 14 When you say, "I'm going to get me a king, a king like all the nations around me," 15 make sure you get yourself a king whom GOD, your God, chooses This doesn’t happen
Deut 15:6 You will lend to many nations but won't borrow from any God takes care of money…
Deut 15:6 GOD, your God, will bless you God not a title, position or degree. God. What do you depend on?
Deut 14:2 2 You only are a people holy to GOD, your God; GOD chose you out of all the people on Earth as his cherished personal treasure. This is for Christians
Deut 13:1-4 13:1 When a prophet or visionary gets up in your community and gives out a miracle-sign or wonder, 2 and the miracle-sign or wonder that he gave out happens and he says, "Let's follow other gods" (these are gods you know nothing about), "let's worship them," 3 don't pay any attention to what that prophet or visionary says. GOD, your God, is testing you to find out if you totally love him with everything you have in you. 4 You are to follow only GOD, your God, hold him in deep reverence, keep his commandments, listen obediently to what he says, serve him — hold on to him for dear life! God never changes…

The fact that human beings were initially created by God to bring Him glory is something that most human beings just don’t realize at all but it is in the Bible which is God’s letter to us as humans
Heaven is God’s gift to us-yes, but Heaven is also God’s kingdom for eternity, so to go there we have to meet His standards and because it’s His kingdom for eternity-He decides who goes there
Because we’re not yet in Heaven it is not only our responsibility to teach others about God but it is also our responsibility to teach our children about God so we’ll ALL go to Heaven
Deut 12:9 9 Until now you haven't arrived at the goal, the resting place, the inheritance that GOD, your God, is giving you We’re not in Heaven yet…
Deut 12:7 Celebrate everything that you and your families have accomplished under the blessing of GOD Under the blessing of God, NOT because of what you studied!
Deut 12:7 Celebrate everything that you and your families have accomplished under the blessing of GOD
Deut 10:14 Everything you see is GOD's — the heavens above and beyond, the Earth, and everything on it.
Deut 10:12-13 12 So now Israel, what do you think GOD expects from you? Just this: Live in his presence in holy reverence, follow the road he sets out for you, love him, serve GOD, your God, with everything you have in you, 13 obey the commandments and regulations of GOD that I'm commanding you today — live a good life. God never changes so this is for you too! But the “life” is now eternal…
Deut 9:4 don't start thinking to yourselves, "It's because of all the good I've done
Deut 8:17-18 If you start thinking to yourselves, "I did all this. And all by myself. I'm rich. It's all mine!" — 18 well, think again. Remember that GOD, your God, gave you the strength to produce all this wealth Most people don’t remember that God gave them the strength to produce wealth
Deut 8:13-14 watch your standard of living going up and up — 14 make sure you don't become so full of yourself and your things that you forget GOD, your God,
Deut 7:7-8 7 GOD wasn't attracted to you and didn't choose you because you were big and important — the fact is, there was almost nothing to you. 8 He did it out of sheer love The great reversal
This is for those going to Heaven: Deut 7:6 you are a people set apart as holy to GOD, your God. GOD, your God, chose you out of all the people on Earth for himself as a cherished, personal treasure.
Deut 6:15 GOD, your God, who is alive among you is a jealous God
Deut 6:13 13 Deeply respect GOD, your God. Serve and worship him exclusively
Deut 6:6-9 Get them inside of you 7 and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. 8 Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder; 9 inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates. Do people do this?
Deut 4:39 GOD is in Heaven above; GOD is on Earth below
Moses told the Israelites: Deut 3:22 GOD, your God, — he's fighting for you.
Deut 1:17 Don't be impressed by big names
Deut 1:16 Judge fairly To judge fairly originally was NOT based on the written law
Num 24:20 you're in first place among nations right now, but you're going to come in last, ruined. The great reversal
Num 23:13 13 Balak said to him, "Go with me to another place from which you can only see the outskirts of their camp …Go with me where you can see… for many human beings seeing is believing but no one has ever seen God
Num 22:40 40 Balak slaughtered cattle and sheep for sacrifices and presented them to Balaam and the nobles who were with him. God is not impressed by the things we do, obedience to His instructions impresses Him.
Num 22:38 I can speak only words that God gives me — no others I feel the same way.
Num 22:37 37 Balak said to Balaam, "Do you think I can't pay you enough?” God is not moved by money!
Num 22:28 8 Then GOD gave speech to the donkey. The great reversal…
Num 22:18 I wouldn't be able to defy the orders of my GOD to do anything, whether big or little I feel the same way!
Num 22:15 15 Balak sent another group of nobles, higher ranking and more distinguished God is not impressed
Num 21:8 8 GOD said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it on a flagpole: Whoever is bitten and looks at it will live." Reminding me of Jesus and eternal life…
Num 21:4-7 The people became irritable and cross as they traveled. 5 They spoke out against God and Moses: "Why did you drag us out of Egypt to die in this godforsaken country? No decent food; no water — we can't stomach this stuff any longer." 6 So GOD sent poisonous snakes among the people; they bit them and many in Israel died. God is aware and we have to pay…
Num 20:8 Speak to that rock that's right in front of them and it will give water As good as Moses was, he didn’t speak to the rock like he was told by God to do, instead he struck the rock so he had to pay for it which raises a question about what will happen to us if we don’t do what God says. Noses didn’t enter the promised land so will we?
Num 18:6 a gift of GOD one of very many gifts of God…
Num 17:8 8 Moses walked into the Tent of Testimony the next day and saw that Aaron's staff, the staff of the tribe of Levi, had in fact sprouted — buds, blossoms, and even ripe almonds! The great reversal…

Num 14:26-27 26 GOD said: 27 "How long is this going to go on, all this grumbling against me by this evil-infested community? Hopefully you’re not doing this!
Num 14:6-9 6 Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, members of the scouting party, ripped their clothes 7 and addressed the assembled People of Israel: "The land we walked through and scouted out is a very good land — very good indeed. 8 If GOD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land that flows, as they say, with milk and honey. And he'll give it to us. 9 Just don't rebel against GOD! And don't be afraid of those people. Why, we'll have them for lunch! They have no protection and GOD is on our side. Don't be afraid of them!" This was true!
Num 13:27-29 "We went to the land to which you sent us and, oh! It does flow with milk and honey! Just look at this fruit! 28 The only thing is that the people who live there are fierce, their cities are huge and well fortified. Worse yet, we saw descendants of the giant Anak. 29 Amalekites are spread out in the Negev; Hittites, Jebusites, and Amorites hold the hill country; and the Canaanites are established on the Mediterranean Sea and along the Jordan." God had already said that He’d fight FOR them, but they got scared anyway
Num 13:1-2 GOD spoke to Moses: 2 "Send men to scout out the country of Canaan that I am giving to the People As Christians we can scout out the country of Heaven that God is giving us by reading the Bible
He very patiently but repeatedly tells us: Num 3:13 I am GOD SO LEARN IT!
God said: Num 1:50 Their job is to: God is our boss
Num 1:45 45 The sum total of the People of Israel twenty years old and over who were able to fight in the army, counted by ancestral family, was 603,550. Moses had a very big job!
Lev 26:14-16 if you refuse to obey me and won't observe my commandments, 15 despising my decrees and holding my laws in contempt by your disobedience, making a shambles of my covenant, 16 I'll step in and pour on the trouble: debilitating disease, high fevers, blindness, your life leaking out bit by bit isn’t preserving health a primary concern now?
Lev 10:1-2 That same day Nadab and Abihu, Aaron's sons, took their censers, put hot coals and incense in them, and offered "strange" fire to GOD — something GOD had not commanded. 2 Fire blazed out from GOD and consumed them — they died in GOD's presence. God doesn’t change, so if this happened then-it will happen now, but now it’s eternal
Ex 40:16 16 Moses did everything GOD commanded. He did it all. If you want to live in God’s kingdom, you have to do the same
Ex 33:20 20 GOD continued, No one can see me and live. Oops! No eye candy here!
Ex 23:33 Beware. That's a huge danger.

Ex 23:25 you serve your GOD and he'll bless your food and your water. I'll get rid of the sickness among you
Ex 23:20-22 I'm sending my Angel ahead of you to guard you in your travels, to lead you to the place that I've prepared. 21 Pay close attention to him. Obey him. Don't go against him. He won't put up with your rebellions because he's acting on my authority. 22 But if you obey him and do everything I tell you, I'll be an enemy to your enemies, I'll fight those who fight you.
Ex 23:20 I'm sending my Angel ahead of you to guard you in your travels
Ex 19:21 21 GOD said to Moses, "Go down. Warn the people not to break through the barricades to get a look at GOD lest many of them die. No eye candy
Ex 17:6 You are to strike the rock. Water will gush out of it and the people will drink. …the great reversal…
Ex 16:20 But they didn't listen to Moses If they wouldn’t listen to what they could see why would they listen to what they couldn’t see?
Ex 16:13 13 That evening quail flew in and covered the camp and in the morning there was a layer of dew all over the camp.
Ex 16:11-12 11 GOD spoke to Moses, 12 "I've listened to the complaints of the Israelites. Now tell them: 'At dusk you will eat meat and at dawn you'll eat your fill of bread; and you'll realize that I am GOD, your God.'"
Ex 16:8 Moses said, "it will be GOD who gives you meat for your meal in the evening and your fill of bread in the morning All I’ve ever heard about is bread in the morning…
Ex 16:4 GOD said to Moses, "I'm going to rain bread down from the skies for you. The people will go out and gather each day's ration. I'm going to test them to see if they'll live according to my Teaching or not. God is testing us… Will we pass the test? Will we get the promised land?
Ex 16:2 The whole company of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron there in the wilderness Again?
Ex 15:26 GOD said, "If you listen, listen obediently to how GOD tells you to live in his presence, obeying his commandments and keeping all his laws, then I won't strike you with all the diseases that I inflicted on the Egyptians; I am GOD your healer." I am GOD your healer… He still is!
Ex 15:2 2 GOD is my strength, GOD is my song, and, yes! GOD is my salvation. This was good to sing but they only sang it because they had SEEN something
Moses told the Israelites: Ex 14:14 14 GOD will fight the battle for you. And you? You keep your mouths shut! Did they learn?
Ex 14:10 They were totally afraid. After all the miracles AND their freedom from slavery they were still afraid?
Ex 13:22 22 The Pillar of Cloud by day and the Pillar of Fire by night never left the people. If God did this, how could I doubt Him?
Ex 13:11 11 When GOD brings you into the land of the Canaanites, as he promised you and your fathers, and turns it over to you God told them this again and again but they doubted Him

Ex 8:17 Aaron grabbed his staff and struck the dust of the Earth; it turned into gnats To get something living out of nothing was a miracle that ONLY God could do!
Ex 7:24 all the Egyptians had to dig inland from the river for water the Nile was a river with a source and an exit so for the Nile to turn to blood was incredible!
Ex 7:24 all the Egyptians had to dig inland from the river for water the Nile was a river with a source and an exit so for the Nile to turn to blood was incedible!
Ex 7:22 the magicians of Egypt did the same thing with their incantations human people WILL TRY to be as impressive as God is
Ex 6:9 when Moses delivered this message to the Israelites, they didn't even hear him — they were that beaten down in spirit by the harsh slave conditions this is there to remind us that in spite of the conditions around us, God is God and He rules!
Ex 4:21-23 21 GOD said to Moses, "When you get back to Egypt, be prepared: All the wonders that I will do through you, you'll do before Pharaoh. But I will make him stubborn so that he will refuse to let the people go. 22 Then you are to tell Pharaoh, 'GOD's Message: Israel is my son, my firstborn! 23 I told you, "Free my son so that he can serve me." But you refused to free him. So now I'm going to kill your son, your firstborn.'"
Ex 4:14 14 GOD got angry with Moses: "Don't you have a brother, Aaron the Levite? He's good with words, I know he is.” God takes care of everything

Ex 3:19-22 19 "I know that the king of Egypt won't let you go unless forced to, 20 so I'll intervene and hit Egypt where it hurts — oh, my miracles will send them reeling! — after which they'll be glad to send you off. 21 I'll see to it that this people get a hearty send-off by the Egyptians — when you leave, you won't leave empty-handed! 22 Each woman will ask her neighbor and any guests in her house for objects of silver and gold, for jewelry and extra clothes; you'll put them on your sons and daughters. Oh, you'll clean the Egyptians out!" God told Moses about this BEFORE IT HAPPENED! No surprise when He knows all of the days of your life BEFORE you are born.
Ex 3:11 Moses answered God, "But why me? What makes you think that I could ever go to Pharaoh and lead the children of Israel out of Egypt?" When God says to do something it is not about you, it’s about Him!

Gen 48:15 The God who has been my shepherd all my lifelong to this very day
Gen 48:14 Israel crossed his arms and put his right hand on the head of Ephraim who was the younger and his left hand on the head of Manasseh, the firstborn. …the great reversal…
Gen 47:20-21 That's how Pharaoh ended up owning all the land 21 and the people ended up slaves; Joseph reduced the people to slavery from one end of Egypt to the other. That’s the way it is everywhere! People are slaves to companies for salaries and EVERYTHING depends on the money they earn…
Gen 47:19 We'll be slaves to Pharaoh They had nothing left to give but themselves
Gen 47:19 We'll be slaves to Pharaoh …the beginning of the children of Israel
Gen 45:24 Take it easy on the journey; try to get along with each other Love your neighbor as yourself…

Gen 43:34 34 When the brothers' plates were served from Joseph's table, Benjamin's plate came piled high, far more so than his brothers …the great reversal…

Monday, March 25, 2013

Gen 41:46 46 Joseph was thirty years old when he went to work for Pharaoh the king of Egypt.
Gen 41:43 Joseph was in charge of the entire country of Egypt. From being sold to imprisonment to this?
Gen 41:16 16 Joseph answered, "Not I, but God. God will set Pharaoh's mind at ease."
The story of Joseph is there to tell us that things may not go OUR way but they always go God’s way. So learn!
Gen 40:23 But the head cupbearer never gave Joseph another thought; he forgot all about him. This wasn’t what Joseph had hoped for…
Gen 40:8 Joseph said, "Don't interpretations come from God?” For Joseph to be in prison and for these men to have dreams that needed interpretation was totally God’s doing
Gen 39:6-7 Joseph was a strikingly handsome man. 7 As time went on, his master's wife became infatuated with Joseph and one day said, "Sleep with me." In the middle of everything finally going well for him, he didn’t plan for this to happen!
Gen 39:2 GOD was with Joseph and things went very well with him. This was not what Joseph or his brothers had planned but this wasn’t their plan
Gen 38:7 Er, grievously offended GOD and GOD took his life. God CAN do this!
Gen 37:28 His brothers pulled Joseph out of the cistern and sold him for twenty pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites who took Joseph with them down to Egypt. This SEEMED bad but it was God’s will!
Gen 37:13 Joseph said, "I'm ready." WE must always be ready
Joseph was Israel’s son. Did only good things happen to him? NO! But God’s will WAS accomplished!
Gen 34:1-2 34:1 One day Dinah, the daughter Leah had given Jacob, went to visit some of the women in that country. 2 Shechem, the son of Hamor the Hivite who was chieftain there, saw her and raped her. Dinah was Israel’s daughter so not only good things happen to the chosen people of God, sometimes bad things happen too!
Gen 32:24-25 24 But Jacob stayed behind by himself, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he couldn't get the best of Jacob as they wrestled, he deliberately threw Jacob's hip out of joint. When God accomplishes His will it is not always the best thing that WE THINK should happen but remember, it’s HIS WILL!
Gen 29:25 25 Morning came: There was Leah in the marriage bed! God’s will for us may not be what we want or expect but it is His will!
Gen 25:21 GOD answered his prayer and Rebekah became pregnant. God can do this.
God was pleased when Abraham exhibited his faith and He blessed him!
Gen 22:11-12 11 Just then an angel of GOD called to him out of Heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!" "Yes, I'm listening." 12 "Don't lay a hand on that boy! Don't touch him! Now I know how fearlessly you fear God; you didn't hesitate to place your son, your dear son, on the altar for me." God needs to see us exhibit our faith!
Gen 22:3 3 Abraham got up early in the morning and saddled his donkey. He took two of his young servants and his son Isaac. This didn’t seem like a good thing to Abraham but God had told him to do it, so he did it!
Gen 21:19 19 Just then God opened her eyes. She looked. She saw… God can produce eye candy for us! He know exactly what we need
Gen 21:6-7 6 Sarah said, God has blessed me with laughter and all who get the news will laugh with me! 7 She also said, Whoever would have suggested to Abraham that Sarah would one day nurse a baby! Yet here I am! I've given the old man a son! NOT ONE WORD ABOUT WHAT GOD HAD DONE
Gen 21:5 5 Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born. This was obviously God’s doing and not Abraham’s!
Gen 20:18 18 For GOD had shut down every womb God can do this!
Gen 19:31-35 1 One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is getting old and there's not a man left in the country by whom we can get pregnant. 32 Let's get our father drunk with wine and lie with him. We'll get children through our father — it's our only chance to keep our family alive." 33 They got their father drunk with wine that very night. The older daughter went and lay with him. He was oblivious, knowing nothing of what she did. 34 The next morning the older said to the younger, "Last night I slept with my father. Tonight, it's your turn. We'll get him drunk again and then you sleep with him. We'll both get a child through our father and keep our family alive." 35 So that night they got their father drunk again and the younger went in and slept with him. Again he was oblivious, knowing nothing of what she did. They didn’t think of or ask God, they just took things into their own hands
They didn’t think of or ask God
Gen 19:26 But Lot's wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt. She had been told not to do that but she went for eye candy. If this happened to her then what will happen to us?
God said about Abraham: Gen 18:19 I've settled on him THIS WAS GOD’S CHOICE…
Gen 18:12 12 Sarah laughed within herself, "An old woman like me? Get pregnant? With this old man of a husband?" In Genesis God shows us that He knows what we are even thinking!
Gen 18:12 12 Sarah laughed within herself, "An old woman like me? Get pregnant? With this old man of a husband?" Sarah THOUGHT that they were supposed to be responsible for this but God was responsible
Gen 16:9 9 The angel of GOD said, "Go back to your mistress. Put up with her abuse. Hmm, that sounds like what Christians are told to do…put up with it
Gen 16:1-2 Sarai, Abram's wife, hadn't yet produced a child. She had an Egyptian maid named Hagar. 2 Sarai said to Abram, "GOD has not seen fit to let me have a child. Sleep with my maid. Maybe I can get a family from her." The mistake that Sarai made was that God (who controls the womb) hadn’t yet given her a child and many of us make the same mistake by taking things into our own hands

God did not say: “Noah and Abram what would YOU like? No! He said: “I have decided…” So our will is not what’s important-it’s what God wants. The fact that we’re created at all is enough for us-NOT being most satisfied and that is not common!
Because in the Bible: the entire Earth was flooded in Noah’s time, Abram was told to leave his homeland and told about what his decedents would get when he had no children at all, it’s clear that what we can see and know mean nothing but what God tells us to do we had better do because He knows what’s best!
Gen 15:13-14 13 GOD said to Abram, "Know this: your descendants will live as outsiders in a land not theirs; they'll be enslaved and beaten down for 400 years. 14 Then I'll punish their slave masters; your offspring will march out of there loaded with plunder” This is about the children of Israel!
Gen 15:2-6 2 Abram said, "GOD, Master, what use are your gifts as long as I'm childless and Eliezer of Damascus is going to inherit everything?" 3 Abram continued, "See, you've given me no children, and now a mere house servant is going to get it all." 4 Then GOD's Message came: "Don't worry, he won't be your heir; a son from your body will be your heir." 5 Then he took him outside and said, "Look at the sky. Count the stars. Can you do it? Count your descendants! You're going to have a big family, Abram!" 6 And he believed! Believed GOD! God declared him "Set-Right-with-God." Abram had no children yet but he believed what God told him! So if you want God to declared you ‘Set-Right-With-God’ then believe what He says!
Gen 13:14-16 GOD said to Abram, "Open your eyes, look around. Look north, south, east, and west. 15 Everything you see, the whole land spread out before you, I will give to you and your children forever. 16 I'll make your descendants like dust — counting your descendants will be as impossible as counting the dust of the Earth. This is faith: knowing what you can see but believing what God says anyway. Abram had no children but God said: counting your descendants will be as impossible as counting the dust of the Earth, and he believed God!
Gen 12:7 7 GOD appeared to Abram and said, "I will give this land to your children." Sarai was barren so Abram currently had no children but did he doubt God? NO!
Gen 12:1-4 GOD told Abram: "Leave your country, your family, and your father's home for a land that I will show you. 2 I'll make you a great nation and bless you. I'll make you famous; you'll be a blessing. 3 I'll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I'll curse. All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you." 4 So Abram left just as GOD said As Christians, we have been asked something similar with the added thing: be content to play second fiddle.
People have made their glands their God. This isn’t just my personal opinion, it’s based on the communications that I get from others
Gen 12:1 GOD told Abram: "Leave your country, your family, and your father's home for a land that I will show you. “ This was not a simple order
Gen 11:1 At one time, the whole Earth spoke the same language. Now, the whole world is trying to speak English
Gen 9:18-19 18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ship were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham was the father of Canaan. 19 These are the three sons of Noah; from these three the whole Earth was populated. …the whole Earth was populated…
Gen 9:6-7 Because God made humans in his image reflecting God's very nature. 7 You're here to bear fruit This is why you’re here
Gen 8:3 After 150 days the worst was over. Even though God destroyed all living beings on the Earth with the flood, the Earth and a few, very few human beings were left in existence-it was a clean slate and it will happen again
Gen 6:6 6 GOD was sorry that he had made the human race in the first place The human race has decreased in number but it is still the human race and God doesn’t change… so someday we’ll pay…
Gen 5:24 Enoch walked steadily with God. And then one day he was simply gone: God took him. I have NEVER heard a sermon on this! If I hadn’t read it then I wouldn’t know it!
Gen 5:1-2 This is the family tree of the human race: When God created the human race, he made it godlike, with a nature akin to God. 2 He created both male and female and blessed them, the whole human race.
Gen 4:26 That's when men and women began praying and worshiping in the name of GOD. Why did it take so long before men and women began praying and worshiping in the name of GOD?
To say: “if I do this or that” implies that God is not OMNI…there is no “if” with God
Gen 3:24 the Tree-of-Life the Tree-of-Life is what we’ll eat from in Heaven
Gen 3:23 23 So GOD expelled them from the Garden of Eden We’re only in Genesis and this was the first judgment and it WILL happen again
Gen 3:23 23 So GOD expelled them from the Garden of Eden This was the first judgment and it WILL happen again
Gen 3:21 21 GOD made leather clothing for Adam and his wife and dressed them. Even though this happened to THEM by THEIR CHOICE, God cared for them in the midst of it all. He loves us
Gen 3:17 getting food from the ground Will be as painful as having babies life was not planned by God to be simple for us; life was not simple for Jesus either
Gen 3:17 getting food from the ground Will be as painful as having babies life was not planned by God to be simple for us
Gen 3:17 getting food from the ground Will be as painful work was not planned by God to be simple for us
Gen 3:16 16 He told the Woman: I'll multiply your pains in childbirth We even have excuses for this…
Gen 3:13 13 GOD said to the Woman, "What is this that you've done?" "The serpent seduced me," she said, "and I ate." The second excuse. Yes, this did happen but God did say not to do it so no excuse was necessary
Gen 3:12 12 The Man said, "The Woman you gave me as a companion, she gave me fruit from the tree, and, yes, I ate it." The first answer and the first excuse
Gen 3:8 the Man and his Wife hid from GOD. Without realizing it, humans do this too, why else would it be in the Bible?
Gen 3:6 6 When the Woman saw that the tree looked like good eating and realized what she would get out of it Hmm, sounds just like college curriculum to me
Gen 3:4-5 4 The serpent told the Woman, "You won't die. 5 God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you'll see what's really going on. You'll be just like God, knowing everything, ranging all the way from good to evil." What does “knowledge” get us today?
Gen 3:4-5 4 The serpent told the Woman, "You won't die. 5 God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you'll see what's really going on. The original sin was based on “knowing”and what are degrees based on?
Gen 3:4-5 4 The serpent told the Woman, "You won't die. 5 God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you'll see what's really going on. The original sin was one based on knowing… Has it changed?
Gen 2:15 15 GOD took the Man and set him down in the Garden of Eden God purposely put man in the Garden of Eden, he wasn’t just there
Gen 2:15 15 GOD took the Man and set him down in the Garden of Eden to work the ground and keep it in order. At resurrection after the new Earth is created, this will probably be our task… God doesn’t change…
Gold was part of the original creation and its value by man is from man only but God is OMNI so He knew that
Gen 2:9 9 GOD made all kinds of trees grow from the ground, trees beautiful to look at and good to eat. The Tree-of-Life was in the middle of the garden, also the Tree-of-Knowledge-of-Good-and-Evil. God made the Tree-of-Knowledge-of-Good-and-Evil as man’s first test…
Gen 1:27-28 27 God created human beings; he created them godlike, Reflecting God's nature. He created them male and female. 28 God blessed them: "Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Human reproduction was part of God’s original plan but humans THINK that they control it…
Gen 1:26 26 God spoke: "Let us make human beings in our image The phrase: …in OUR image… let’s you know that God was not alone
Gen 1:1 First this: God created the Heavens and Earth — all you see, all you don't see. This is the very first verse of the Bible but not many people know this! They say that they know the Bible and they believe in God but they don’t know this so can you call that knowing?
Gen 1:1 First this: God created the Heavens and Earth — all you see, all you don't see.
I knew before I wrote this that this was not going to be popular… The scriptures DO say that you have to learn to play second fiddle and in our culture that is extremely difficult to do!

Human beings are very big on being wowed by each other however they should be but are not wowed by their creator!
Human beings have many things that they CAN see like other humans, the Earth, animals, etc. but they can’t see God so they take what they CAN see for granted and forget that it was in fact created from nothing
What I observe is that other human beings are very driven by the opinions of other human beings so the created beings are super driven by the opinions of other human beings thus the created are driven by the opinions of other created beings but no one is driven by the opinion of the creator and the opinion of the creator is found in the Bible and the opinion of the creator is truly ultimately important over the created
Rev 21:1 Heaven and earth new-created. Gone the first Heaven, gone the first earth, gone the sea.
Rev 20:15 15 Anyone whose name was not found inscribed in the Book of Life was hurled into Lake Fire.
Rev 20:13 Each man and woman was judged by the way he or she had lived
Rev 17:14 the Lamb will prove that he is Lord over all lords, King over all kings, and those with him will be the called, chosen, and faithful.
Rev 14:12 the saints stand passionately patient, keeping God's commands, staying faithful to Jesus.
Rev 11:15 The kingdom of the world is now the Kingdom of our God and his Messiah! He will rule forever and ever!
Rev 9:6 people are going to prefer death to torture, look for ways to kill themselves. But they won't find a way — death will have gone into hiding
Rev 4:8 chanted night and day, never taking a break this is what you have to look forward to in Heaven
God says: Rev 3:18 Here's what I want you to do: Buy your gold from me, gold that's been through the refiner's fire. Then you'll be rich. Buy your clothes from me, clothes designed in Heaven. You've gone around half-naked long enough. And buy medicine for your eyes from me so you can see, really see.
Rev 3:15-16 You're not cold, you're not hot — far better to be either cold or hot! 16 You're stale. You're stagnant. You make me want to vomit Be one or the other…
Rev 3:12 the Name of God's City — the new Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven
Rev 3:4 wallowing in the muck of the world's ways
For most human beings reality is based on what they can see however that is not the case with me. For me, reality is based on what I can’t see. For an example: no one has ever seen God but I believe He runs my life.

Heaven is thought of as a place that fully satisfies humans which would be fine if Heaven was a human kingdom but Heaven is God’s kingdom!
1 John 4:2 Everyone who confesses openly his faith in Jesus Christ — the Son of God, who came as an actual flesh-and-blood person — comes from God and belongs to God But REMEMBER faith and works are like a hand in a glove so you can’t have one without the other
1 John 4:1 don't believe everything you hear read the Bible! If God says it then it’s true!
1 John 3:20 God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves. I only know what I can see but God is OMNI and so He know everything!
1 John 3:16 we ought to live sacrificially for our fellow believers that’s what Jesus did!
1 John 3:16 Christ sacrificed his life for us. This is why we ought to live sacrificially for our fellow believers, and not just be out for ourselves
1 John 3:9 9 People conceived and brought into life by God conceived and brought into life by God… Born from above.
1 John 2:28 Live deeply in Christ Not deeply in your job in this world! Not many of you are going to like this!
1 John 2:24 sink into your life not if you feel like it, but live like it. Into your life means that you LIVE IT
1 John 2:15 15 Don't love the world's ways. Don't love the world's goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father. This is not for a time but for your entire life on Earth
1 John 2:15 15 Don't love the world's ways. Don't love the world's goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father.
1 John 2:6 Anyone who claims to be intimate with God ought to live the same kind of life Jesus lived. And we’ll experience suffering as Jesus did. We’re Jesus’ body
2 Peter 2:1 there will be lying religious teachers among you
2 Peter 1:20-21 The main thing to keep in mind here is that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of private opinion. 21 And why? Because it's not something concocted in the human heart. Prophecy resulted when the Holy Spirit prompted men and women to speak God's Word. no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of private opinion
2 Peter 1:4 a world corrupted by lust people don’t want to believe this but they expect to live eternally with God!
1 Peter 5:10 10 The suffering won't last forever. It won't be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ — eternal and glorious plans they are! — will have you put together and on your feet for good. This is my hope! I’m in a temporary place with a reason for being here but it’s only for right now and not forever, so I have to be patient and have faith!
1 Peter 5:9 You're not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It's the same with Christians all over the world
1 Peter 5:6 be content with who you are you are who you were created to be and God makes no mistakes
1 Peter 5:5 God has had it with the proud, But takes delight in just plain people. This is all throughout the Bible
1 Peter 5:4 God, who is the best shepherd of all
1 Peter 4:1-2 Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. 2 Then you'll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want. Not what I want but what you want Father
1 Peter 4:1-2 Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. 2 Then you'll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want.
1 Peter 4:1 Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way.
1 Peter 3:20 even though God waited patiently all the days that Noah built his ship, only a few were saved then, eight to be exact now is no different…
1 Peter 3:17-18 17 It's better to suffer for doing good, if that's what God wants, than to be punished for doing bad. 18 That's what Christ did definitively: suffered because of others' sins, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. He went through it all — was put to death and then made alive — to bring us to God. And we are Christ’s body!
1 Peter 3:14 14 Even if you suffer for it, you're still better off Christ suffered and we’re His body
1 Peter 3:9 that's your job, to bless
1 Peter 2:25 You were lost sheep with no idea who you were or where you were going. Now you're named and kept for good by the Shepherd of your souls.
1 Peter 2:9-10 to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you — 10 from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted. The great reversal…
1 Peter 1:23 23 Your new life is not like your old life. Your old birth came from mortal sperm; your new birth comes from God's living Word.
1 Peter 1:7 When Jesus wraps this all up, it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory. Your working faith… He MUST be victorious-not you!
Jesus came to the Earth to be a sacrifice for God and as His body we have to be a sacrifice to God too
To make it on this Earth and to make it in God’s world are VERY different things. The Bible clearly says that the things that this world calls great God calls stupid and this is the great reversal. God takes things that are called nothing by this world and makes them more than something in His world, so what the world calls nothing God calls something

Most human beings THINK that God’s kingdom, Heaven, is just a gift that they get but you have to earn it and that’s what life on Earth is for
James 4:12 God is in charge of deciding human destiny This is impossible for many human beings to accept!
James 4:7 let God work his will in you Jesus said: “not my will be done Father but yours”
James 4:6 It's common knowledge that "God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble. …the great reversal…
James 3:1-2 Don't be in any rush to become a teacher, my friends. Teaching is highly responsible work. Teachers are held to the strictest standards. 2 And none of us is perfectly qualified.
James 2:26 Separate faith and works and you get the same thing: a corpse. And a corpse will go out with the trash for burning
James 2:23 The full meaning of "believe" in the Scripture sentence, "Abraham believed God and was set right with God," includes his action So : “faith” includes action
James 2:5 Isn't it clear by now that God operates quite differently? He chose the world's down-and-out as the kingdom's first citizens, with full rights and privileges. The great reversal…
James 1:21 let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word
James 1:2 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides Is this taught anywhere? NO! But it’s in the Bible!
James 1:2 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides Is this taught anywhere? NO!
Heb 13:20 Jesus, our Great Shepherd And we are His sheep
Heb 13:9 The grace of Christ is the only good ground for life Not a degree or money or position or title or anything else!
Heb 13:5 5 Don't be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have
Heb 13:4 4 Honor marriage, and guard the sacredness of sexual intimacy between wife and husband This does not happen
Heb 12:25 If those who ignored earthly warnings didn't get away with it, what will happen to us if we turn our backs on heavenly warnings? That was a lesson to us… They didn’t go to the promised land.
Heb 12:7 7 God is educating you No need for college!
Heb 11:38 the cruel edges of the world this world is not our home
Heb 11:11 11 By faith, barren Sarah was able to become pregnant, old woman as she was at the time, because she believed the One who made a promise would do what he said.
Heb 11:8-10 By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God's call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left he had no idea where he was going. 9 By an act of faith he lived in the country promised him, lived as a stranger camping in tents. Isaac and Jacob did the same, living under the same promise. 10 Abraham did it by keeping his eye on an unseen city with real, eternal foundations — the City designed and built by God.
Heb 11:7 7 By faith, Noah built a ship in the middle of dry land. He was warned about something he couldn't see, and acted on what he was told. The result? His family was saved. His act of faith drew a sharp line between the evil of the unbelieving world and the rightness of the believing world. As a result, Noah became intimate with God.
Heb 11:6 6 It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.
Heb 11:4 4 By an act of faith, Abel brought a better sacrifice to God than Cain. It was what he believed, not what he brought, that made the difference. That's what God noticed and approved as righteous. And what happened? Cain killed Abel.
Heb 11:3 3 By faith, we see the world called into existence by God's word, what we see created by what we don't see.
Faith in the Bible is based on what we can’t see as opposed to what human beings who base their faith on what they CAN see
Heb 11:1 The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see. … handle on what we can't see… this is not normal! And society tells people that MONEY is the only reason for living!
If Jesus said to God: Heb 10:9 I'm here to do it your way And we’re His body, the same thing applies to us!
Heb 9:15 freeing us from all those dead-end efforts to make ourselves respectable and what do Churches teach you? How to make yourself respectable…
Heb 8:11 11 They won't go to school to learn about me
Titus 1:10-11 10 For there are a lot of rebels out there, full of loose, confusing, and deceiving talk. Those who were brought up religious and ought to know better are the worst. 11 They've got to be shut up.
2 Tim 4:2 Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don't ever quit.
2 Tim 3:15-17 There's nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another — showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. 17 Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.
2 Tim 3:12 12 Anyone who wants to live all out for Christ is in for a lot of trouble; there's no getting around it
2 Tim 1:8 Take your share of suffering for the gospel along with the rest of us.

1 Tim 4:7 Stay clear of silly stories that get dressed up as religion
1 Tim 2:9-10 I want women to get in there with the men in humility before God, not primping before a mirror or chasing the latest fashions 10 but doing something beautiful for God and becoming beautiful doing it.

2 Thess 3:2 I'm finding that not all "believers" are believers.
2 Thess 1:12 12 If your life honors the name of Jesus, he will honor you. Your life means everything about you. Remember you want to live eternally in His kingdom.
2 Thess 1:5 5 All this trouble is a clear sign that God has decided to make you fit for the kingdom. It DOESN’T say: “all this success”…
1 Thess 4:9 You're God-taught With God already as your teacher you need nothing else from anyone!
1 Thess 3:3 3 Not that the troubles should come as any surprise to you. You've always known that we're in for this kind of thing. It's part of our calling. This is 100% opposite of what our culture tells us to strive for!
1 Thess 2:4 4 Be assured that when I speak to you I’m not after crowd approval — only God approval
Col 4:1 Don't forget for a minute that you, too, serve a Master — God in heaven Like it or not-you ARE a servant
Col 3:25 Being Christian doesn't cover up bad work. Just saying: “I’m a Christian” means nothing but living as one does
Col 3:24 Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you're serving is Christ You are a servant whether you want to be or not and you will be rewarded or punished.
Col 3:3 3 Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life — even though invisible to spectators — is with Christ in God. He is your life. THIS IS WHERE PEOPLE GET IT WRONG
Col 2:19 We can grow up healthy in God only as he nourishes us. And He nourishes us only when we read His word.
Col 2:11 11 Entering into this fullness in Christ is not something you have to figure out or achieve. It's not a matter of being circumcised or keeping a long list of laws. No, you're already in — insiders — not through some secretive initiation rite but rather through what Christ has already gone through for you, destroying the power of sin. It’s not up to you-it has already been done by Christ!
Col 2:9 You don't need a degree to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without Him.
Col 2:3 3 All the richest treasures of wisdom and knowledge are embedded in the word of God and nowhere else.
Col 2:1 Not many of you have met me face-to-face, but that doesn't make any difference. Know that I'm on your side, right alongside you. You're not in this alone.
Col 1:24-25 24 I want you to know how glad I am that it's me sitting here in this wheelchair and not you. There's a lot of suffering to be entered into in this world — the kind of suffering Christ takes on. I welcome the chance to take my share in the church's part of that suffering. 25 When I became a servant in this church, I experienced this suffering as a sheer gift, God's way of helping me serve you, laying out the whole truth.
Col 1:13 13 God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. And as we know from the children of Israel in Egypt, God is good at rescue…
Col 1:10 As you learn more and more how God works The only way that we will continue to learn about God is if we study His word!
Col 1:10 10 I pray that you'll live well for the Master, making him proud of you as you work hard in his orchard. Our lives are spent in His orchard…
Phil 4:11-13 I don't have a sense of needing anything personally. I've learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. 12 I'm just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. 13 Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. Me too!
Phil 4:4 4 Celebrate God all day, every day Not just on Sunday
Phil 4:4 4 Celebrate God all day, every day
Phil 2:21 21 Most people are looking out for themselves, with little concern for the things of Jesus.
Phil 2:13 God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure. Remember, it’s His will-not yours!
Eph 6:14-18 14 Truth, righteousness, 15 peace, 16 faith, 17 and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an indispensable weapon. 18 In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare.
Eph 6:13 13 Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. God will help you handle everything
Luke 6:40 be careful who you follow as your teacher . Today when created beings want to be your teacher be careful to ONLY follow God, your creator, as your teacher
Eph 6:12 This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. Life will not be easy. This is war.
Eph 6:7 no matter who happens to be giving the orders, you're really serving God

I think that the word: “marriage” refers to two human bodies that become one rather than anything else
Eph 5:5 5 You can be sure that using people or religion or things just for what you can get out of them — the usual variations on idolatry — will get you nowhere, and certainly nowhere near the kingdom of Christ, the kingdom of God.
When we learn that God planned on creating us before the Earth was created it’s clear that He loves us because if He didn’t then we wouldn’t be here!
Eph 4:17-18 And so I insist — and God backs me up on this — that there be no going along with the crowd, the empty-headed, mindless crowd. 18 They've refused for so long to deal with God that they've lost touch not only with God but with reality itself. The ONLY reality that they know is of this world
Eph 4:17-18 And so I insist — and God backs me up on this — that there be no going along with the crowd, the empty-headed, mindless crowd. 18 They've refused for so long to deal with God that they've lost touch not only with God but with reality itself.
Eph 4:17 And so I insist — and God backs me up on this — that there be no going along with the crowd
Eph 4:3 quick at mending fences Churches are very quick to identify and avoid fences but the Bible says to MEND them
Eph 2:7-10 7 Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. 8 Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It's God's gift from start to finish! 9 We don't play the major role. If we did, we'd probably go around bragging that we'd done the whole thing! 10 No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do This is WAY different from what we are told…
This is way more than we can even think of! God thought AND planned for us BEFORE the Earth was formed to bring Him glory!
Eph 2:3 3 We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. And it was a sinking boat but God knew that it would be and it was part of His plan BEFORE there was a world…
Eph 2:2 2 You let the world, which doesn't know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. …society…
Since God planned for us BEFORE the Earth was formed, how could we ever doubt Him?
Eph 1:3-6 How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He's the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. 4 Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. 5 Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) 6 He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son. Long before the Earth existed…
Gal 6:16 the true Israel of God
Gal 6:4 Don't compare yourself with others
Gal 5:26 we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse
Gal 5:24 24 Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good — crucified.
Gal 5:14 everything we know about God's Word is summed up in a single sentence: Love others
Gal 5:13 use your freedom to serve one another in love
Gal 5:6 in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior: faith expressed in love. In Christ religion means nothing
READ THIS: Gal 5:4 When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects, you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace
Gal 5:1 Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you. You probably say: “we’re not slaves!” But, aren’t you required to do something to get something? Did the Israelites have to do something to be freed from slavery? Who freed them? God!
Gal 4:26 an invisible Jerusalem
Gal 3:11 Doing things for God is the opposite of entering into what God does for you
Gal 2:16 no human being can please God by self-improvement
Gal 1:10 If my goal was popularity, I wouldn't bother being Christ's slave
2 Cor 12:19 God revealed in Christ
2 Cor 12:19 You're not the jury; God is the jury — God revealed in Christ
2 Cor 11:14-15 Satan does it all the time, dressing up as a beautiful angel of light. 15 So it shouldn't surprise us when his servants masquerade as servants of God
2 Cor 10:17 If you want to claim credit, claim it for God
2 Cor 10:3 3 The world is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair

I just read online that when I was found in Seattle I was laying down, bleeding and unconscious so it’s clear that God saved me because I obviously couldn’t save myself
2 Cor 6:9 9 ignored by the world, but recognized by God
2 Cor 4:18 18 There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever.
2 Cor 4:7 7 If you only look at me, you might well miss the brightness. I carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of my ordinary life. That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's incomparable power with me
2 Cor 4:5 All I am is a messenger, errand runner from Jesus for you
2 Cor 2:14 In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade
1 Cor 15:58 Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort.
1 Cor 15:38 The dead body that we bury in the ground and the resurrection body that comes from it will be dramatically different.
1 Cor 15:37 37 We do have a parallel resurrection experience in gardening. You plant a "dead" seed; soon there is a flourishing plant.
1 Cor 15:34 Ignorance of God is a luxury you can't afford ever
1 Cor 15:32 It's resurrection, resurrection, always resurrection, that undergirds what I do and say, This is what drives me all of the time
1 Cor 14:1 Most of all, try to proclaim his truth.
1 Cor 13:4-7 4 Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love doesn't strut, Doesn't have a swelled head, 5 Doesn't force itself on others, Isn't always "me first," Doesn't fly off the handle, Doesn't keep score of the sins of others, 6 Doesn't revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, 7 Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.
1 Cor 13:3 3 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.
1 Cor 13:2 2 If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing.
1 Cor 13:1 If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.
1 Cor 12:31 some of you keep competing for so-called "important" parts
1 Cor 11:18 your divisiveness, competing with and criticizing each other.
1 Cor 10:28 you don't want to send mixed messages to him about who you are worshiping or what you are worshiping
1 Cor 10:22 the Master won't put up with it. He wants us — all or nothing. Do you think you can get off with anything less? Do you want to go to Heaven?
1 Cor 10:22 the Master won't put up with it. He wants us — all or nothing. Do you think you can get off with anything less?
1 Cor 10:12 Forget about self-confidence; it's useless. Cultivate God-confidence.
1 Cor 8:7 knowing isn't everything. If it becomes everything, some people end up as know-it-alls who treat others as know-nothings.
1 Cor 8:3 3 We never really know enough until we recognize that God alone knows it all.
1 Cor 7:40 better off staying single. The Master, in my opinion, thinks so, too.
1 Cor 7:23 held hostage in a sinful society
1 Cor 7:19 The really important thing is obeying God's call, following his commands.
1 Cor 7:17 God, not your marital status, defines your life Today, not many people know this!
1 Cor 6:12 12 Just because something is technically legal doesn't mean that it's spiritually appropriate
1 Cor 6:6 taking each other to court before people who don't even believe in God! How can they render justice if they don't believe in the God of justice?
1 Cor 5:7 The Messiah, our Passover Lamb, has already been sacrificed for the Passover meal, and we are the Unraised Bread part of the Feast If I hadn’t read this in the Bible I never would have known this!
1 Cor 4:20 20 God's Way is not a matter of mere talk; it's an empowered life. It’s more than just on Sunday.
1 Cor 4:7 everything you have and everything you are sheer gifts from God
1 Cor 4:5 When he comes, he will bring out in the open and place in evidence all kinds of things we never even dreamed of — inner motives and purposes and prayers

Human beings are fully dedicated to eye candy but that is a problem because our creator is not eye candy because no one has ever seen Him and when Jesus came, as Isaiah said: He was anything but eye candy, so human beings don’t like God…
Matt 22:14 Many get invited; only a few make it
Rom 1:26 Refusing to know God, they soon didn't know how to be human either — women didn't know how to be women, men didn't know how to be men.
1 Cor 3:3 As long as you grab for what makes you feel good or makes you look important, are you really much different than a babe at the breast, content only when everything's going your way?
1 Cor 2:13 13 We don't have to rely on the world's guesses and opinions. We didn't learn this by reading books or going to school; we learned it from God, who taught us person-to-person through Jesus We didn't learn this by reading books or going to school; we learned it from God...
1 Cor 2:4-5 God's power did it, 5 which made it clear that your life of faith is a response to God's power, not to some fancy mental or emotional footwork by me or anyone else Remember, God planned us and this
1 Cor 1:17 17 God didn't send me out to collect a following for myself, but to preach the Message of what he has done, collecting a following for him. And he didn't send me to do it with a lot of fancy rhetoric of my own, lest the powerful action at the center — Christ on the Cross — be trivialized into mere words. It’s not about me…
1 Cor 1:17 17 God didn't send me out to collect a following for myself, but to preach the Message of what he has done, collecting a following for him. And he didn't send me to do it with a lot of fancy rhetoric of my own, lest the powerful action at the center — Christ on the Cross — be trivialized into mere words.
Rom 15:31 the lions' den of unbelievers
Rom 15:15 assignment God gave me this wasn’t just for Paul, it’s for us too! God’s assignment to all of us is to serve Him not ourselves
Rom 15:2 Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us This is NOT what society tells us!
Human beings are here on Earth for the SOLE PURPOSE of serving God, society will tell you that you’re here to serve yourselves but society is wrong and in eternity you’ll agree
Rom 15:1 Strength is for service, not status
Rom 14:18 18 Your task is to single-mindedly serve Christ
Here’s a rule of thumb for living your life: God is in charge and He created everything that you can see. Human beings were created to bring Him glory and so to live eternally with Him we have to be bringing Him glory alone with our lives on Earth (which God created)
Rom 14:12 You've got your hands full just taking care of your own life before God.
Rom 14:7-9 7 None of us are permitted to insist on our own way. 8 It's God we are answerable to — all the way from life to death and everything in between — not each other. 9 That's why Jesus lived and died and then lived again: so that he could be our Master across the entire range of life and death, and free us from the petty tyrannies of each other. Society sees this VERY differently
Rom 14:4 4 Do you have any business crossing people off the guest list or interfering with God's welcome?
Rom 13:11 11 make sure that you don't get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God priorities
Rom 13:9 Love other people as well as you do yourself
Rom 13:4 The police aren't there just to be admired in their uniforms. God also has an interest in keeping order, and he uses them to do it
Rom 13:1 All governments are under God
Rom 12:16 Make friends with nobodies God does
Rom 12:12 Don't quit
Rom 12:10 practice playing second fiddle
Rom 12:6 6 let's just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, I see this A LOT!
Rom 12:6 6 let's just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other,
Rom 12:3 it's important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him. …not by what we are and what we do for Him…
Rom 12:1-2 Take your everyday, ordinary life — your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life — and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. 2 Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
Rom 11:32 God makes sure that we all experience what it means to be outside so that he can personally open the door and welcome us back in. We ALL experience…
Rom 11:22 The moment you become deadwood, you're out of there.
Rom 11:7 The "self-interest Israel" became thick-skinned toward God.
Rom 11:5-6 There's a fiercely loyal minority still — not many, perhaps, but probably more than you think. 6 They're holding on, not because of what they think they're going to get out of it, but because they're convinced of God's grace and purpose in choosing them. Many are called but few are chosen…
Rom 10:11-12 11 Scripture reassures us, "No one who trusts God like this — heart and soul — will ever regret it." 12 It's exactly the same no matter what a person's religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. This cancels denominationalism!
Rom 9:15-16 15 God told Moses, "I'm in charge of mercy. I'm in charge of compassion." 16 Compassion doesn't originate in our bleeding hearts or moral sweat, but in God's mercy. Modern day Christians THINK that they develop compassion by themselves
Rom 9:8 Israelite identity was never racially determined by sexual transmission, but it was God-determined by promise. This is very important to know…
Rom 8:32 32 If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn't gladly and freely do for us?
Rom 8:26-28 26 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. 27 He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. 28 That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. Churches don’t teach this…
Rom 8:5-8 5 Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God's action in them find that God's Spirit is in them — living and breathing God! 6 Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. 7 Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. 8 And God isn't pleased at being ignored.
Rom 8:3 3 God went for the jugular when he sent his own Son. He didn't deal with the problem as something remote and unimportant. In his Son, Jesus, he personally took on the human condition, entered the disordered mess of struggling humanity in order to set it right once and for all. The law code, weakened as it always was by fractured human nature, could never have done that.

Mother Nature = Father God
Rom 7:8 law code started out as an excellent piece of work. What happened, though, was that sin found a way to pervert the command into a temptation, making a piece of "forbidden fruit" out of it.
Rom 6:3 That is what happened in baptism. When we went under the water, we left the old country of sin behind; when we came up out of the water, we entered into the new country of grace — a new life in a new land! Baptism is not taught this way
Rom 5:10 10 If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we're at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life!
Rom 5:6 Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn't, and doesn't, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready.
Rom 5:1 By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us — set us right with him, make us fit for him — we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus
Rom 4:18 18 When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn't do but on what God said he would do.
Rom 4:17 17 We call Abraham "father" not because he got God's attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody Not because he attended college OR had a degree, NO! Because God made him something
Rom 4:16 16 This is why the fulfillment of God's promise depends entirely on trusting God and his way, and then simply embracing him and what he does
Rom 4:14 14 If those who get what God gives them only get it by doing everything they are told to do and filling out all the right forms properly signed, that eliminates personal trust completely and turns the promise into an ironclad contract! That's not a holy promise; that's a business deal. Christianity is not a business deal
Rom 3:28 Our lives get in step with God and all others by letting him set the pace, not by proudly or anxiously trying to run the parade. society teaches people to run the parade
Rom 3:28 Our lives get in step with God and all others by letting him set the pace, not by proudly or anxiously trying to run the parade.
Rom 3:27 God does not respond to what we do; we respond to what God does.
Rom 3:26 God sets things right. He also makes it possible for us to live in his rightness. …live in His righteousness… Live on Earth? NO! In Heaven!
Rom 3:26 God sets things right. He also makes it possible for us to live in his rightness. …live in His righteousness…
Rom 3:25 25 God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin.
Rom 3:23 lives God wills for us not the lives WE will for ourselves. People forget this…
Rom 3:19 we're sinners, every one of us, in the same sinking boat with everybody else
Rom 2:29 29 You become a Jew by who you are. It's the mark of God on your heart, not of a knife on your skin, that makes a Jew.
Rom 2:13 13 Merely hearing God's law is a waste of your time if you don't do what he commands. Doing, not hearing, is what makes the difference with God.
Rom 2:12 12 If you sin without knowing what you're doing, God takes that into account. Christianity IS NOT a test!
Rom 1:26-27 women didn't know how to be women, men didn't know how to be men. 27 Sexually confused
Rom 1:22 pretended to know it all, but were illiterate regarding life do you call that knowing?
Rom 1:22 pretended to know it all, but were illiterate regarding life
Rom 1:5 Through Jesus we received both the generous gift of his life and the urgent task of passing it on to others Our job description
Acts 28:26 You're going to listen with your ears, but you won't hear a word; You're going to stare with your eyes, but you won't see a thing.
Acts 28:9 everyone on the island who was sick came and got healed. Hmm, that’s what Jesus did
Acts 28:6 expecting him to drop dead, but when it was obvious he wasn't going to, they jumped to the conclusion that he was a god! Human beings are very quick to say that something that they can see and know is Godly but God can’t be seen or known
Acts 28:6 expecting him to drop dead, but when it was obvious he wasn't going to the great reversal
Acts 24:25 things getting a little too close for comfort people will react this way
Acts 24:22 But uncertain of his best move politically, he played for time. Politics is NOT more important than God
Acts 21:20 20 They listened with delight and gave God the glory. This is unusual, normally people listen and give the person the glory
Acts 21:13 Paul wouldn't budge: "Why all this hysteria? Why do you insist on making a scene and making it even harder for me? You're looking at this backwards. The issue in Jerusalem is not what they do to me, whether arrest or murder, but what the Master Jesus does through my obedience. Plenty of tough times ahead…

Acts 17:24-27 The God who made the world and everything in it, this Master of sky and land, doesn't live in custom-made shrines 25 or need the human race to run errands for him, as if he couldn't take care of himself. He makes the creatures; the creatures don't make him. 26 Starting from scratch, he made the entire human race and made the earth hospitable, with plenty of time and space for living 27 so we could seek after God Why did God make us? so we could seek after God
