I was just giving a little thought to Heaven. And because we’re there and the environment and the way we’ll be there will not be such a thing as ‘Celebrity’ just normal people that we can love.

In the Bible there is The Old Testament and The New Testament and the Bible clearly says that they represent God’s Old Way and God’s New Way. Obviously the New Way is much more easily doable by humans.

But time and time again I see people taking parts just parts of The Old Way that they can do and making it Their Way.

The reason for The Old Testament being in the Bible is so that we can see God’s Plan carried out and that we can’t do everything on our own and we need God.

Jesus (God) made it very clear on a number of occasions that The Old Way could be summed up by what He said.

However human people keep redefining things that meet opinions to make them Their Way instead of reading the New Testament and doing things God’s Way.

Ebooks that I have written are extremely reasonably priced and are available at LULU.com
To give us Eternal Life, as Heaven’s perfect lamb Jesus blood was shed for our sins, once and for all.

Lev 17:11-12
11 For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life.

I have just realized something very exciting! I am where I am and how I am for a very good reason! God’s reason! That’s why I will never change!

And as He leads me I will go.

Jesus came from Heaven and went back to Heaven because He was clean. When God saves us we get Christ’s righteousness and so God sees us as Him and therefore we are clean and that’s part of the gift of salvation. God made us clean.

Acts 10:15
15 The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean ."
NIV

I don’t know where it comes from that people are always referring to sin but it didn’t come from the Bible. God is OMNI so He knows our past, present & future and He said we are forgiven. It doesn’t say ‘until’ or ‘if’ it says FORGIVEN.

He also said:
Rom 6:11
11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
NIV

Now where people get that sin is still effecting any believer is not in the Bible because God said that we are free indeed:
John 8:36
36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
NIV

Sure there are some things that are not good to do but they have no effect on your salvation.

It’s there in print.
While reading though Leviticus 5-8 this morning it was obvious to me that these sin sacrifices were a preview of what Christ would bring.

Christ said that we are dead to sin and there is no way that we would know everything that we have done so without Christ we would be lost.

It’s just another reason to be thankful for Christ.

Matt 7:13-14
13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
NIV

The most difficult thing that I have to do is trying to get people to realize that they are on the broad road. The gate is very wide so they think that it’s ok but it leads to destruction.

That is Satan’s plan. A broad road allows anyone to enter. It seems fun or easy and certainly enjoyable so it must be good but it has ONLY human appeal and content so it will go away someday whereas things with a spiritual appeal and content will last forever.
In my reading today it was about sacrifices for what and how. Only the best of anything could be presented to God. Thankfully through the sacrifice of Heaven’s perfect lamb who gives us His righteousness we are allowed to be with God. Without it we’re not. Nothing has changed still only the best of anything can be presented to God but it is best through Jesus not us.

We have the Bible for a reason:

Prov 14:12

12 There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.

Today non disabled people are ‘The Jews’ and everyone else is a ‘gentile’. The Jews have leaders who think that they know it all and the Gentiles (whether they know it or not) have God.

Times haven’t changed from the Bible until now.

Non disabled people (the Jews) reject everyone else (the gentiles) and the non disabled people have leaders and disabled people don’t so today’s Jews have it over today’s gentiles.

Nothing has changed.

Is this world attractive? Oh yes!

Do you want to go places? Oh yes!

Do you want to have things? Oh yes!

Do you want to do things? Oh yes!

Who runs this world? Satan does.

Everything is geared to draw you in and make you want it – their way!

If you do this…

If you pay that…

And the interesting thing is that if you do what they say there’s still no guarantee…

Whereas if you go to God for free you can say what you’re feeling and He’ll give it to you. It may not be what you see on the commercial but it will be better!

So be careful about what you’re doing and talk to God first.
I have been surprised at times but I never knew this. For some reason I thought that religion was only about God but this makes it clear that it is personal opinion. I know my opinion.

Acts 25:19
19 Instead, they had some points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a dead man named Jesus who Paul claimed was alive.
NIV

When I grew up at my parents Church the missionary journeys were simply historical facts to be remembered and quoted but when I read them now I see real life examples of living in the spirit and how difficult this world can be.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

We may do things that will amaze us and others but the only reason that we can do them at all in the first place is because God created us. God also plans things for each of us. So if anything at all praise God! He is seeking to show Himself through us.

The level of accomplishment that each of us has is not something that WE’VE DONE it’s something that HE’S done.

And the world will not understand that.
People WILL NOT accept your message. They never have:

Acts 5:17

17 Then the high priest and all his associates, who were members of the party of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy.
NIV

On the first missionary journey even though the message was about God people tried to celebrate them but the apostles said: “We are human beings like you!” to stop it.

In the Bible there is a lot of talk about idols. And we’re told not to worship them and we do not form images into things to worship anymore but there are some things that grab our attention and concentration away from God so some of us still worship idols.

Times have changed but we’re clever people and the enemy thinks he’ll win.

A small example is work. Sometimes our schedules, our desires, our bosses, our customers, our companies or ANYTHING can take our attention and concentration away from God and we simply write it off as scheduled or ‘the boss wants it!’ or just the pace of work or something else.

But we have to be careful NOT to allow other things to take the primary place of God because if they do then it’s idol worship.
It is very simple to imagine God as one of us but we must remember that He is Spiritual and we are physical. Two completely different worlds and two completely different perspectives. And He says that His ways are NOT our ways.

So when things arise even if you THINK that you know what to do talk to Him! He’s your Father. He hears every prayer and answers them.

My life was bad especially at the time of my attack. I was supposed die but I didn’t. And after a 5 year coma I woke up and asked for a Bible.

I had a difficult time hearing what I had done and believing that I could go to Heaven but I wanted to go so Hebrews 11:1 has been my ONLY desktop for 10 years now but then I read something that we all know but don’t understand what it says:
Rom 6:10-11
10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
NIV

When something dies what is it? No more. So as far as sin is concerned we are no more. It has no effect on us. Yes, things are wrong and we shouldn’t do them but they have no effect on us or our salvation. As the scriptures say: We’re dead to sin.

Another thing that I had read and before did not understand was that Christ had set me free. And the scriptures say that we are free indeed:
John 8:36
36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
NIV

So we are dead to sin and free indeed through Christ but people don’t believe this! Why? I don’t know but I can only assume that the enemy is telling people this to keep them from believing the truth.

Religion is based on telling people either that they have failed or that they can lose their salvation. Obviously ‘dead to sin’ and ‘free indeed’ mean nothing to religion.

But I’m telling you that you are dead to sin and free indeed and you can look it up in the Bible because I did.
People think: “if I do this…or if I do that…then I’ll get to Heaven.” So THEY are in control but scripture (the word of God) tells them that’s wrong:

Acts 10:43
43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."
NIV

It’s not through what they do but though his name.

Prov 10:25
25 When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm forever.
NIV

God didn’t say that there would be NO storms for the righteous, He said that they’ll stand firm forever.

That’s good to see because we live in this world! It’s early but I’ve had storms already but I stand firm.
Acts 7:41
41 That was the time they made an idol in the form of a calf. They brought sacrifices to it and held a celebration in honor of what their hands had made.
NIV

The idol was destroyed. What you do can’t compare to what God is doing. Don’t even assume that you know what He’s doing-ask Him!

Thursday, February 10, 2011

When reading the Bible this morning I came upon this:

Acts 3:12
12 When Peter saw this, he said to them: "Men of Israel, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?
NIV

These people who said this had clearly denied themselves.

Today people would say: “Well, I am an expert” or “I have been educated in this” or “I should know…” but these normal people said “do you think that we did this by our own power?”

It’s not that times have changed because that’s not it but our society has changed so the goal in life isn’t to promote God it’s to promote you.

Everyone around me is different from me, there are things that I can’t do and most people would feel totally lost if they were me but I am very happy!

Every moment of every day bad things happen to people and they do happen to me too!

So if bad things do happen to me (and they do) then why am I happy?

I’m actually glad that you asked.

Because I am no longer me. Years ago I denied myself for Christ and the change has been (to speak like you do today) awesome! I am no longer in life for my benefit rather I am on this Earth for God’s benefit.

To have taken all the things that demand my attention away, not aside but AWAY, has been wonderful! I have more time to focus on God and less on myself. Wants, desires & dreams are gone now. Do I miss things? No!

And to wonder what I’ll be when I grow up is gone. God made me and this Earth so I know where I’m going forever and in the meantime I have wonderful people like you to talk to.

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

Because I’m disabled and NOTHING goes well in this World, I still look for something that is good in my life and because there’s nothing else I turn to Jesus which is ok to do because I am in Him. And I don’t get depressed because God is very good to me.

But what do people who don’t have Jesus do? They turn to everything from styles to jobs and homes to cars but nothing goes right all the time for them either and they only have themselves or others to rely on. So they get depressed.

I never wonder why I am the way I am because I trust God not things so I am glad to be who I am. Things constantly change from good to bad and everywhere in between. But God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow so this is a very good place to be.
I know what things are good and I try, try, try but I can never do them because I am disabled. Something always goes wrong and I get frustrated. That’s life for me as a human. Never doing things completely is frustrating but when push comes to shove I just can’t.

Thankfully Earth is not the end and I know Jesus who can. So my life here on Earth will never make other people happy but life with Jesus makes Him happy and that’s enough.
People do everything based on their expectations alone. “I expected this to happen” is fine but “This was not expected at all” is not ok.

So abortions are done and if the baby is born it could be born with disabilities and a whole new set of rejection begins.

Special Ed or no Ed begins and of course they are kept out of the game of life.

This is not good. God doesn’t do things in ways that are hidden from us, He is open! And He creates all pregnancies and He is OMNI so everything about every child is known before they are born. That’s why pregnancies happen in the first place!

Monday, February 7, 2011

When someone has a disability either at birth or otherwise the people around them are expecting one thing and they get another and that upsets them. They are there as they are because of God’s plan. But no one ever thinks about that. No, their expectations are not met. Forget God’s plan because now things are not what they expected and something may be required of them that they did not anticipate or plan for.

So disabled people are excluded from many things so that someone’s life can move on. But all disabled people need is acceptance. God accepts them but human people do not so they try and try but quite often they are not accepted by those around them and that hurts.

I’ve been through this myself! 2 of 3 boys have disabilities and now I have a disability! So now I see things that I did wrong and I’ve had many cruel things done to me. So now I’m much more accepting of people with disabilities and I even think like them because I am one of them!

Nothing but negativity just because someone’s needs aren’t met and we think that it is our fault. So you bet I’m there for my sons now.
Many people are looking for that right word or the right thing to do or the right way to pray but God doesn’t need right things. We don’t know His way of speaking but He hears our prayers. He accepts each of us as we are and He loves us. Now if people were that way too…

When someone is born disabled or becomes disabled His love and control are the same. Whatever happens nothing with God changes but things with human people DO CHANGE A LOT.

Human’s hopes or dreams may not be met but we are talking about humans not God! So there’s no reason but something personal that makes human people behave as they do.

Thankfully God isn’t like that and we can talk to Him anyway and anytime.
Things that we don’t know

I don’t know how long I’ll live.
I don’t know what tomorrow will bring.
I don’t know what the next moment will bring.
I don’t know what this moment will bring.
Basically I know nothing.
But in spite of all of that I trust God.
When I die it won’t matter.
What happens tomorrow won’t matter.
What happens within the next moment won’t matter.
What happens in this moment won’t matter.
Because no matter what God is God.

This has allowed me to take and keep a very different view of my life and you can do it too!

This World tells you that you can know and do everything but that’s not true. Everything comes from God not you and you don’t know what He’s doing but you CAN KNOW that He loves you. So anything that happens is based on that love.

He told us: Don’t Worry and this is why.
There is a big difference between what faith really means and what people think that it means. Most people think that faith is just belief but faith is a lifestyle not just at Church or something that you believe in it’s a lifestyle every day.

Yes it’s easy to wear the right clothes or a cross around Christian friends but it takes some real effort to help someone that needs it. I’m not saying that it’s wrong to dress up or wear a cross I’m just saying that doing so is not faith. Anybody could do that but not many make it a lifestyle. That’s why the Bible says faith without works is dead.

So now for some faith has a whole new meaning!
There are some things that have probably been happening for years.

Children, regardless of income, have been raised that everything that they do has a standard of good, better or best. If something isn’t good, better or best than it is bad and children are taught the levels of good, better and best because they are taught that nobody wants to be rated as bad because bad is really bad.

Hence our grades, our friends, the way we dress, fashions, cars and jobs, in effect everything is based on that scale.

The problem that I have with that scale is that there is way more to life than that scale.

Jesus, God’s son wasn’t rated good, better or best in fact He was put to death based on how negatively He was rated.

But today people still do the same thing! I have several disabilities therefore I always fail that rating and few people even want to be around me. But focusing on the real me, which other people don’t do, I feel very good about myself and my relationship with God!

James 2:17
17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead .
NIV
In the Old Testament we have example after example of detailed instructions for people of doing things themselves. They were given every detail and required to include things of great value but in the New Testament Jesus took care of everything once for all and all He asks for is faith.

Friday, February 4, 2011

Our physical life in this World is completely different from our spiritual life.

We exist in this World for a good reason. We are the body of Christ in His absence so we have work to do but we are forgiven and saved and He’s working in us all of the time.

We’ve got to trust in Him not in ourselves.
My reading in Exodus 25-27 was an indication of God’s love for us. He knew the measurements that would be understood and the things that would be valued and He took the time to explain it all to us and then gave us the gift of salvation.

Yet some of us make things very complicated and we set guidelines for what to do. Personally I can’t meet mans guidelines but if I go by God’s I’m fine.

Praise be to God!

I am where I need to be.

I could point out many bad things if I wanted to but I don’t want to. I enjoy being where I am and how I am.

I do have some things that challenge people like me and I would like to make some changes but I never CAN’T do things because God is very good to me.

To me it’s a gifted privilege to be me.
You probably think that I’m being a real pain in the rear end because I keep bringing this up but I’m in a good line because Jesus brought this up too. In fact He said that the ENTIRE LAW AND THE PROPHETS were met when we did this:
Matt 7:11-12
12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
NIV
But there are still some people who go through life thinking that everything is for and depends on them.

That’s the enemy talking because Jesus said to deny yourselves and I don’t see room in denying yourselves for me, me, me.

So take a good look at what you’re thinking and doing.

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

People have a tendency to make things more complicated than they really are and even more intense and difficult to do than they have reason to. And the worst thing is that we think that they are right!

But when we check the detailed facts we realize that they’re not right at all. They’re just making things up and unfortunately looking good while doing it.

God is someone that people really make stuff up about. And I honestly wonder why because the Bible, God’s word (our training manual) is right there and we can read it.

Unfortunately there is a lot of money to be made in making things up. And since money is power people will say anything to get more money.

So I’m glad that I’m poor because there’s no money to be made in that.
Let’s talk about how to become a Christian. I don’t know that there is a perfect way so I’ll tell you how I do it.

You must believe that Jesus came to take your place and became Heaven’s perfect sacrifice for you. You get His righteousness therefore you can go to Heaven and live forever with Him.

The thing that most people miss is Jesus said that you must deny yourselves. That is difficult to do because this World has always taught people that the MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IS YOU! But that’s not true because our Father is God and He’s much more important than us.

Also we are created to serve God and not ourselves. Why else would we spend eternity with God?

It’s not about religious membership or anything else just faith. And faith is much more than just belief because faith without works is dead.

So if you’re ready to put more to it than just belief-then WELCOME HOME!

Most everything that I see is geared to make you look good, make you feel good or make you be good. You, you, you.

As a Christian I already have everything and I need no more so what does that mean?

To me it means that everyone is into themselves and even pure survival is geared to each person, but where is God?

For some Christians having God makes you look good but for others not so much.

But for me God has nothing to do with me. I am for Him. I exist for Him as opposed to Him for me.
As with the Israelites we are no longer in slavery. Their slavery was to Egypt and ours is to sin. They were freed and we have been freed. They went into the wilderness and we went into life. They had many wants or desires and so do we.

But God brought them out of Egypt and into the wilderness and God brought has brought us out of sin and into life.

They had a difficult time in the wilderness and we have a difficult time in life.

Things haven’t changed much. They did whatever they wanted to and so do we.

But God was watching them then and God is watching us now. So let’s not end up like the Israelites. They wanted to go to the promised land and I want to go to Heaven.
When some people read this they’re going to think that I’ve gone way off the deep end but I wouldn’t write something that I haven’t studied, thought about and prayed about first so read on.

First let’s go back to the nation of Israel. They were slaves of Egypt and Moses told Pharaoh to let them go to worship their God. Did they go? Yes. Did they worship their God? It doesn’t say but it does say that they complained a lot. Did they inherit the new land that God promised? No, but their descendants did.

I have no idea what that means to us, but He took care of them and He’s taking care of us so let’s be sure to worship Him with more than our intent.

Things may not always go as we desire but remember we are here for God’s will not accomplish our will.

Worship means much more than church attendance and certainly way more than keeping a set of rules. So regardless of the way things work out you must remember that God’s in control not you. He made this world and He’s working for us.
When reading through Exodus 15-17 this morning to me it became obvious that the Israelites represent the World today.

So much has been given to us already but we want more. Instead of simply being thankful and trusting what God is doing we complain about the way things are and we’re not happy. If we receive the ultimate we’re fine otherwise we’re unhappy.

The big difference is that even though I’m very handicapped I’m always happy because God kept me alive and I don’t know what Hell do next! Maybe something maybe nothing but He’s doing it not me and that is more than enough for me.

How about you?

Are you thankful about what’s going on and where you are or are you like the Israelites and you want more?
