I started out trying to figure things out for disabled people and I have, but along the way I have determined that there are more problems for more people regardless of whether or not they have a disability.

Evidently there is a goal to make money so honesty and ability to pay seem to have absolutely nothing to do with the goal of making money.

Wealth is the ruling key. Whether or not things help someone is of no importance at all because can you make any money on it takes precedence over everything else!

Am I stupid? Evidently so because I have never seen this before. But examples keep coming up blatantly and often I don’t expect to uncover them-but they’re there!

I am not going to change my faith in God or my beliefs, so I guess that this is an issue of faith.
Here’s a good thought

Life is full of issues that you as a person are supposed to deal with, so life can be difficult for you.

But putting your faith and trust in God eliminates the worry about those issues. His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

I just saw a commercial for the ASPCA that says: “These animals only know what it’s like to be abused and neglected…” and these are animals and that’s exactly what disabled people experience and we are people. We are only abused and neglected too. If you were not aware of that before I’m telling you now. It’s true!
I’m writing a book on disabilities so that people will learn how difficult it is not just for me but for anyone whether they are born with one or end up with one. I will publish it both as an Ebook and a printed book and every day I email Obama and every week I send him a letter.

I have reread and written in it pretty much every day for more than a month. But as I write more and think about how it’s been for me I have come upon some truths that I didn’t expect and things that I don’t think you even realize!

So I’m telling you this now because I live this so it actually is true and the book will be worth reading when I am done. I plan to publish it about mid 2011.

If you hear nothing else today here’s one for your books: God is so real!

Every moment of every day He’s there. Not just close or maybe, He’s there.

I pray about things that I think are important and He answers me!

The thing that many people don’t realize is that if you are His child then not only did the Father adopt you and gave you an inheritance, but He’s living in you!

Sometimes the things of each day are enough to try to pull us away from Him and that’s Satan’s plan. But regardless of what happens stay focused on God.

That’s how I stay happy.

I have written & published 5 books on LULU.com called Words from my Father volumes 1-5 and I am writing a new book on disabilities to be published next year at Barnes & Nobel & LULU.com. It will be an Ebook and a printed book.

The most difficult thing that I run into time and time again is that people do things based on themselves and I am supposed to be happy. If I say anything at all they tell me all about themselves again.

It seems to be imperative that a blame is placed on someone for everything. But it is possible that there is no blame at all. As humans we freely say: “What is one man’s trash may be another man’s treasure” meaning that people think differently, and that seems to be fine but when you add “doing” to that it all stops and fault MUST be placed.

For example, you gave up control of something because to you it was trash but if someone doesn’t agree they may get angry with you. That happens before it becomes another man’s treasure…

I’m not operating on my principals I’m operating on God’s principals. It is entirely possible that someone may still disagree with me but run the principals side by side. If the principals aren’t God’s then place blame but if they are then most likely it’s a personal thing and there is no blame.

If attaching blame is the only was to deal with things that bother you, then you’re going to have a rough life.

It’s December and it’s close to Christmas. Most people celebrate this as a holiday, he best one of the year. But I would like for it to be celebrated as THE BEST ONE EVER! Because it is!

The first Christmas didn’t start with Santa & the reindeers, no, God came to Earth and was born of a virgin to save us.

We give gifts, the best that we can buy, but God gave us the very best gift that money can’t buy!

So enjoy the holiday but remember that God has given you a wonderful gift already!

There is something to be learned here.

Unconditional love means love without conditions.

God loves us without conditions.

He just loves us and all He asks for is faith.

It’s not a question of what we’ve done or how we’ll be, He loves us and we have faith.

But people have chosen to make more of that than it is. It has been turned into a lengthy list of DO’s and DON’T’s and MUSTs therefore it is no longer unconditional and people can’t do it.

The people may have changed but God has not changed.

Scripture supports this and it hasn’t changed.

So where are you?
When we come to God He doesn’t change us He forgives our sins. He doesn’t erase them He forgives them. Basically He says: “Those things don’t matter to me anymore”.

But somewhere someone seemed to forget that and they said “Don’t do this and don’t do that. Or…” So Churches teach that. God didn’t say that people did.

But Jesus told the parable about prodigal son to show us where we belong and that our wrongs will be erased.

So contrary to many religions our relationship with God matters way more than what we do.

That’s why He talks about the heart so much.
I was just thinking about the parable about the wayward son. He did live wrong but he came back to the father. But the elder brother was angry. He had lived right and he couldn’t understand the difference.

We’re all just people who may do right or wrong but the Father wants us back. So it’s not about behavior it’s about a relationship.
No matter what disability or ability a person has everyone has faith. Faith is a gift from God but where they direct their faith is up to each individual. It may be about something in their future or it may be about God, it’s up to each individual.

So there are people who don’t have faith in God and there are those who have marginal faith in God meaning: “if I do this then that will happen” but faith is a gift and how we use it is up to us.

So the next time you believe that something will happen if… just ask yourself what you believe in. Because if it’s not God it may or may not happen.

I haven’t written in a few days because I’ve been reading and working on two books that I am writing at the same time! And someone asked me last night: “Don’t you write anymore? Because you haven’t written in a while.”

So I‘m just saying: “I’m here. You’re important!”

Eph 2:8-10
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
NIV

Grace not works. Straight from the Bible.

So if you are thinking that your salvation stands or falls based on something that you do or don’t do think again. Why would Christ do all that He did to hope that you would do anything?

Our salvation is a gift from God. What you do or don’t do may have an impression on people but it has nothing to do with God or salvation because if it did then we would boast about it.

Which is wonderful for people like me because there is so much that I cannot do but I do have faith.

Before we came to Christ we were lost but Christ forgave our sins and everything was new.

But every day our flesh causes us to sin. So do we think that we need to come to Christ again and again to be cleaned up?

Oddly enough believers believe that Christ continually will forgive them (although that’s not why He came) but the sin comes back day after day. The scriptures also say (a lot) that Christ gave His life: once and for all.

In scripture it says: “The old is gone and everything is new” but I used to define that to mean: you shouldn’t do that anymore. But it clearly says that the old is gone and everything is new

Satan has much to tell us each time we fail like: God won’t like that and he may not forgive that. So we ask for forgiveness again and we’re fine until the next time.

But God is omni and He wrote every day of our lives in His book before we were born so is this new to Him? I think not. He decided to come and give His life for us knowing all about us.

So to me “new” means that we’re viewed as Christ (who did not sin) because we came to Christ. God sees us as Christ.

I’m not making this up it’s in scripture.

Wednesday, December 8, 2010

The scriptures very clearly say that we are the body of Christ:

1 Cor 12:27-28
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
NIV

But where did the body of Christ exist? On Earth. Where do we exist? On Earth. So it we’re Christ’s body where will things come from? The Earth.

I’m not saying that we’ll never receive blessings from Heaven. Jesus fasted for 30 days and 30 nights on Earth and I don’t know but I can guess that we couldn’t do that.

So that made me think about things very differently.

People will continue to be the way they are but I am not that way and that’s ok. I just need to continue to be the way I am because I am patient enough to wait until judgment.

Just remember that what we want to come true may or may not happen NOW but we will win in the end.

It’s the Christmas season and once a year we buy & give gifts, decorate everything, have parties and build memories.

But we have souls and God gave us many gifts and He’s not watching to see if we’re “good or bad” to give them, He just gave them to us. He does ask for faith but that’s all.

So what if every day we were given gifts far beyond what we deserve and all we had to do is believe?

We are! That’s what grace is!

So go ahead and enjoy the holiday but when the gifts are done, the decorations are down, there are no more parties and no more holiday memories to build the holiday may be over on earth but the joy of eternity is just beginning in Heaven!

Priorities

Everyone alive has priorities. Those things that have to get done before other things get done. They are important tasks and each person sets their priorities.

Somehow in all of our efforts to meet our priorities some of God’s commands become missed. You may have a good life now…

I say that because I am your neighbor and God said to love your neighbor as yourself. I try to do that by making phone calls, delivering bread, sending emails, having a BLOG and a Website.

But no one has ever come to see me on their own. Just because they wanted to.

So as your neighbor am I being loved as yourself? I don’t think so.

Why isn’t that a priority?
