The Bible says that the road to eternal life is narrow and only a few will find it so I’ve dedicated my time to finding out why.

Why only a few?

I first identified a few groups but the problem continued to grow which meant that the few just get larger and larger. And as this happens I read God’s Word (the Bible) and the answer is more clear.

We humans are created by God but we start our lives out the wrong way. We are taught from birth that we have to become something.

1
The Bible says that God wrote down all the days of our lives before we were born and that He forms us in our mother’s womb so we have to become something? Becoming something states that there was a problem with God’s initial formation of us not to mention a mistake in the writing of all of the days of our lives before we were born!

A good example of this was the children of Israel. It’s in the Bible. They were slaves to Egypt (and we are slaves to sin). God freed them (we’ve been freed too) and then God tried to lead them to Canaan which He was giving to them like He promised to do (we’ve been promised eternal life in Heaven) but they were unhappy with what they could see and they

always wanted something better (we too are unhappy with what we can see so we try to become something better). So we don’t hope for what He’s promised instead we imagine and hope for something better. So the road is narrow and few find it.

The miracle for the children of Israel is: 1. That they were freed from slavery in Egypt and 2. they crossed the Red Sea on dry land. The miracle for us is: 1. We have been freed from slavery to sin and 2. Given eternal life in Heaven which is much better than an Earthly life in Canaan!

The big question is whether all your efforts will be on what people like or what God wants.
3
What people like will reward you on Earth but what God wants will reward you in Heaven. Too many people want their rewards on Earth but the only rewards that will matter will come in Heaven.

The children of Israel were interested in what they could see even though everything they got came from God who they couldn’t see. So if you’re more interested in what you can see then life will be good for you on this Earth.

What you can see will make you happy on Earth and what you can’t see will make you happy in Heaven. The choice is yours.
