Isaiah
Isa 9:6-8
6 For a child has been born — for us! the gift of a son — for us! He'll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness. 7 His ruling authority will grow, and there'll be no limits to the wholeness he brings. He'll rule from the historic David throne over that promised kingdom. He'll put that kingdom on a firm footing and keep it going With fair dealing and right living, beginning now and lasting always. The zeal of GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies will do all this.
This is about Jesus! From the Old Testament!
Isaiah
Isa 8:19-20
19 When people tell you, "Try out the fortunetellers. Consult the spiritualists. Why not tap into the spirit-world, get in touch with the dead?" 20 Tell them, "No, we're going to study the Scriptures!”
Eccl
Eccl 8:12
the good life is reserved for the person who fears God, who lives reverently in his presence
Eccl
Eccl 7:29
God made men and women true and upright; we're the ones who've made a mess of things.

winning
Being able to spend eternity in Heaven IS NOT ABOUT BEING BEAT OR WINNING it is about bringing glory to God!
Proverbs
Prov 20:24
24 The very steps we take come from GOD; otherwise how would we know where we're going?
Proverbs
Prov 16:1-2
Mortals make elaborate plans, but GOD has the last word. 2 Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; GOD probes for what is good.
Proverbs
Prov 15:33
33 Fear-of-GOD is a school in skilled living — first you learn humility, then you experience glory.
Proverbs
Prov 15:25
25 GOD smashes the pretensions of the arrogant; he stands with those who have no standing.
Proverbs
Prov 14:12
12 There's a way of life that looks harmless enough; look again — it leads straight to hell.
Proverbs
Prov 3:5-7
5 Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. 6 Listen for GOD's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track. 7 Don't assume that you know it all. Run to GOD!

Christian
A Christian is the body of Christ so to really be a Christian you HAVE to know about Christ and the only way to do that is to READ THE BIBLE!
personal ego
God created me to bring Himself glory so I have NO ego! Life is not about me-it’s about God!
Psalms
I have learned SO MUCH from this! It’s my favorite thing in the Bible! It taught me how God is connected to humans!
Ps 139
GOD, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. 2 I'm an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I'm thinking. 3 You know when I leave and when I get back; I'm never out of your sight. 4 You know everything I'm going to say before I start the first sentence. 5 I look behind me and you're there, then up ahead and you're there, too — your reassuring presence, coming and going. 6 This is too much, too wonderful — I can't take it all in!
7 Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? to be out of your sight? 8 If I climb to the sky, you're there! If I go underground, you're there! 9 If I flew on morning's wings to the far western horizon, 10 You'd find me in a minute — you're already there waiting! 11 Then I said to myself, "Oh, he even sees me in the dark! At night I'm immersed in the light!" 12 It's a fact: darkness isn't dark to you; night and day, darkness and light, they're all the same to you.
13 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb. 14 I thank you, High God — you're breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration — what a creation! 15 You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. 16 Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day.
17 Your thoughts — how rare, how beautiful! God, I'll never comprehend them! 18 I couldn't even begin to count them — any more than I could count the sand of the sea. Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with you! 19 And please, God, do away with wickedness for good! And you murderers — out of here! — 20 all the men and women who belittle you, God, infatuated with cheap god-imitations. 21 See how I hate those who hate you, GOD, see how I loathe all this godless arrogance; 22 I hate it with pure, unadulterated hatred. Your enemies are my enemies!
23 Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I'm about; 24 See for yourself whether I've done anything wrong — then guide me on the road to eternal life.
Psalms
Ps 119:1-4
You're blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by GOD. 2 You're blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. 3 That's right — you don't go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. 4 You, GOD, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it.
Psalms
Ps 118:8-9
8 Far better to take refuge in GOD than trust in people; 9 Far better to take refuge in GOD than trust in celebrities
Psalms
God said:
Ps 95:11
11 Exasperated, I exploded, 'They'll never get where they're headed, never be able to sit down and rest.'"
CLEARLY this will happen again so don’t let this be you!
Psalms
Ps 84:10
I'd rather scrub floors in the house of my God than be honored as a guest in the palace of sin
Psalms
Ps 71:3
a guest room where I can retreat
because we’re foreigners in this land a guest room is all we can get!
rewards
Our society pays a great deal of attention to the created for what they can do but no attention to the creator who made them able to do what they do. Which is like congratulating a vase because it can hold water and flowers with no thought being given to the potter who made it that way in the first place

Psalms
Ps 62:11
11 God said this once and for all; how many times Have I heard it repeated? "Strength comes Straight from God."
Psalms
Ps 62:9
9 Man as such is smoke, woman as such, a mirage. Put them together, they're nothing; two times nothing is nothing.
Psalms
Ps 62:5-6
5 God, the one and only — I'll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not? 6 He's solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, An impregnable castle: I'm set for life!
Psalms
Ps 49:16-17
16 So don't be impressed with those who get rich and pile up fame and fortune. 17 They can't take it with them; fame and fortune all get left behind.
Can you say Academy Awards or Hollywood Walk of Fame?
Heaven on Earth
I don’t know what Heaven will be actually like but because God is my Father and He takes such good care of me I’d say that I’m living Heaven on Earth! The thing that I KNOW will be different in Heaven is that I will be walking! I can wait!
Psalms
Ps 17:4
4 I'm not trying to get my way in the world's way. I'm trying to get your way, your Word's way.
Psams
Ps 4:6-7
6 Why is everyone hungry for more? "More, more," they say. "More, more." I have God's more-than-enough, 7 More joy in one ordinary day
Psalms
Ps 1:1
you don't go to Smart-Mouth College.
What’s Smart-Mouth College?
A school that gives all of the attention to you and what you have done and no attention to the one who created you to be like you are in the first place! It’s like complimenting a vase on how much water it holds but ignoring the one who created it to be that way in the first place

Nehemiah
Neh 7:5
5 God put it in my heart
I often say that God told me to move to Kentucky and people ask me: “How do you know that God told you?” and I didn’t know until I read this verse!
Nehemiah
Neh 4:23
23 We all slept in our clothes — I, my brothers, my workmen, and the guards backing me up. And each one kept his spear in his hand, even when getting water.
This is what THEY had to do to rebuild the physical Jerusalem but for us in rebuilding the spiritual Jerusalem WE have to always do whatever it takes to keep our focus on God
city of God
In the book of Nehemiah which is in the Old Testament the people set about rebuilding the physical city of God at Jerusalem. We are now under the New Testament and we are building the spiritual city of God-Jerusalem
Chron
2 Chron 16:9
GOD is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him. You were foolish to go for human help
Reward
In the Old Testament when people sought God He gave them a good life on Earth but in the New Testament if people seek God alone He promises to give them a good life in Heaven. Just like God! You can’t see Him so you can’t see it either!
Chron
2 Chron 12:14
heart neither cared for nor sought after GOD

Chron
God told Solomon:
2 Chron 7:19-20

Chron
God said:
2 Chron 7:13-14
If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, 14 and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I'll be there ready for you
He didn’t say: “if they go to the doctor OR the hospital…” He said: “I'll be there ready for you”
Chron
David said this regarding the place to worship God:
1 Chron 29:1
this is not just a place for people to meet each other, but a house for GOD to meet us
Chron
1 Chron 28:8
as GOD's people, obey and study every last one of the commandments of your GOD so that you can make the most of living
Chron
God said:
1 Chron 28:6-7
'Your son Solomon will build my house and my courts: I have chosen him to be my royal adopted son; and I will be to him a father. 7 I will guarantee that his kingdom will last if he continues to be as strong-minded in doing what I command and carrying out my decisions as he is doing now.'
“…as he is doing now”

words
When God created everything the VERY FIRST thing that went wrong is that humans didn’t respect what He said and they ALL were thrown out of the garden of Eden! If you expect to get to His kingdom then you has better be respecting what He says so read & follow your Bible!
Kings
After Hezekiah prayed to God:
2 Kings 19:35
an angel of GOD came and massacred a hundred and eighty-five thousand Assyrians
peoples expectations
2 Kings 5:11-12
11 Naaman lost his temper. He turned on his heel saying, "I thought he'd personally come out and meet me, call on the name of GOD, wave his hand over the diseased spot, and get rid of the disease. 12 The Damascus rivers, Abana and Pharpar, are cleaner by far than any of the rivers in Israel. Why not bathe in them? I'd at least get clean." He stomped off, mad as a hornet.
Kings
2 Kings 4:42-44
42 One day a man arrived from Baal Shalishah. He brought the man of God twenty loaves of fresh baked bread from the early harvest, along with a few apples from the orchard.
Elisha said, "Pass it around to the people to eat."
43 His servant said, "For a hundred men? There's not nearly enough!"
Elisha said, "Just go ahead and do it. GOD says there's plenty."
44 And sure enough, there was. He passed around what he had — they not only ate, but had leftovers.
Kings
2 Kings 4:16
16 Elisha said to her, "This time next year you're going to be nursing an infant son."
Kings
2 Kings 3:16-17
"GOD's word: Dig ditches all over this valley. 17 Here's what will happen — you won't hear the wind, you won't see the rain, but this valley is going to fill up with water and your army and your animals will drink their fill.”
Kings
2 Kings 1:16
as if there were no God to whom you could pray
prayer is much more than just what you want! Remember—it’s God’s will not YOURS!
Kings
1 Kings 22:5-6
"But before you do anything, ask GOD for guidance."
6 The king of Israel got the prophets together — all four hundred of them — and put the question to them: "Should I attack Ramoth Gilead? Or should I hold back?"
He didn’t ask God instead he asked people!
expectations?
1 Kings 19:11-12
A hurricane wind ripped through the mountains and shattered the rocks before GOD, but GOD wasn't to be found in the wind; after the wind an earthquake, but GOD wasn't in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake fire, but GOD wasn't in the fire; and after the fire a gentle and quiet whisper.
God defies people’s expectations!
Kings
1 Kings 19:11-12
A hurricane wind ripped through the mountains and shattered the rocks before GOD, but GOD wasn't to be found in the wind; after the wind an earthquake, but GOD wasn't in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake fire, but GOD wasn't in the fire; and after the fire a gentle and quiet whisper.

Kings
1 Kings 13:18
18 But he said, "I am also a prophet, just like you”
Titles mean nothing compared to what God says!
God's kingdom
Solomon was more interested in public approval than in God’s approval and we should learn from that! Especially if we want to spend eternity in God’s kingdom!!
the source of approval
Solomon was more interested in public approval than in God’s approval and we should learn from that!
Kings
1 Kings 9:3-9
3 And GOD said to him, "I've listened to and received all your prayers, your ever-so-passionate prayers. I've sanctified this Temple that you have built: My Name is stamped on it forever; my eyes are on it and my heart in it always. 4 As for you, if you live in my presence as your father David lived, pure in heart and action, living the life I've set out for you, attentively obedient to my guidance and judgments, 5 then I'll back your kingly rule over Israel, make it a sure thing on a solid foundation. The same guarantee I gave David your father I'm giving you: 'You can count on always having a descendant on Israel's throne.'
6 "But if you or your sons betray me, ignoring my guidance and judgments, taking up with alien gods by serving and worshiping them, 7 then the guarantee is off: I'll wipe Israel right off the map and repudiate this Temple I've just sanctified to honor my Name. And Israel will become nothing but a bad joke among the peoples of the world. 8 And this Temple, splendid as it now is, will become an object of contempt; visitors will shake their heads, saying, 'Whatever happened here? What's the story behind these ruins?' 9 Then they'll be told, 'The people who used to live here betrayed their GOD, the very God who rescued their ancestors from Egypt; they took up with alien gods, worshiping and serving them. That's what's behind this GOD-visited devastation.'"
Kings
1 Kings 8:22
22 Before the entire congregation of Israel, Solomon took a position before the Altar, spread his hands out before heaven
As a public thing he did this because he got public approval but IF he had done this with his everyday life then he would have gotten God’s approval so the choice is whether to get public or God approval!
Kings
1 Kings 8:1
8:1 Bringing all this to a climax
All the building—NOT THE LIVING! Like us! All the education but not the living!
we spare nothing!
Solomon’s temple is a good example for us because he spared no money on the temple itself but spent no time or anything else on the way he lived his own life for God which is what we do! We spare nothing on making sure that we can earn a good living but pay no attention to the way that we live for God
Kings
1 Kings 6:11-12
11 The word of GOD came to Solomon saying, 12 "About this Temple you are building — what's important is that you live the way I've set out for you and do what I tell you, following my instructions carefully and obediently
Kings
1 Kings 3:28
They were all in awe of the king, realizing that it was God's wisdom that enabled him to judge truly.
That's what I hope for!
Kings
1 Kings 3:3
3 Solomon loved GOD and continued to live in the God-honoring ways of David his father, except that he also worshiped at the local shrines, offering sacrifices and burning incense.

eternal life
Do you want to spend eternity in Heaven? Well, Heaven is God’s kingdom. It’s not just a nice place for people to go, it’s God’s place where people who support ONLY God will go and if you don’t ONLY support God then you’ll go to Hell. I didn’t make this up—it’s in the Bible! As a human being you were created to bring God glory and that’s all!
winning
As a human winning in this world is a short one time thing but winning in Eternity is an eternal thing!
personal choice
As a person YOU have a BIG decision to make: to either be dedicated to the world or to be dedicated to God. If you choose to be dedicated to the world then you’ll be very popular and make a lot of money during your life on Earth so you’ll win on Earth but lose in Eternity whereas if you’re dedicated to God you’ll lose on Earth but win in Eternity. It’s up to you
hope
People say that they “pray” when they really mean: “hope” and there's a HUGE difference between the two
Sam
2 Sam 7:19
given me a glimpse into tomorrow, my Master GOD
and regarding eternity God has given us a glimpse into tomorrow too!
Sam
2 Sam 7:14
the pitfalls and obstacles of this mortal life
YES! This mortal life will have pitfalls and obstacles but God will STILL be with us!
David
David is in the Bible to teach us some important things. The Bible says that he was: “A man after God’s own heart” but his earthly life was hard! Even so, he kept his focus on God, so I will too!
Sam
1 Sam 22:17
17 The king ordered his henchmen, "Surround and kill the priests of GOD!
As if the power of God was contained in the humans that He had created!
Eternity
Ok! This I the truth as I know it right now!
Human beings are only interested in maintaining their lives on Earth but God created the Earth and everything else to glorify Him-human’s included! And there will be an eternity so being concerned ONLY with your existence on Earth is shortening the story! Eternity will never end so human beings should be concerned with that!
Sam
1 Sam 18:20
get David out where the Philistines will make short work of him
can humans out god God? NO!
Sam
1 Sam 18:17
Saul was thinking, "The Philistines will kill him for me. I won't have to lift a hand against him."
As if God’s power was limited to the humans that He had created!
Sam
1 Sam 17:56
56 The king said, "Well, find out the lineage of this boy’s youth."
Our physical heritage means nothing…
Sam
1 Sam 17:47
The battle belongs to GOD
Everything is not about you! You were created by God to bring Him glory and that’s what matters!
Sam
1 Sam 16:7
GOD judges persons differently than humans do. Men and women look at the face; GOD looks into the heart.
Sam
1 Sam 14:19
Then Saul interrupted Ahijah: "Put the Ephod away."
What was happening SEEMED more important than what God thought!

Jud
Judg 18:19
9 They said to him, "Hush! Don't make a sound. Come with us. Be our father and priest.”
Since God created us for the only purpose of bringing Him glory is it really important what people hire us to do?
Jud
Judg 18:4
4 He said, "One thing led to another: Micah hired me and I'm now his priest."
Does being hired give you access to God? I don’t think so! The Bible doesn’t say that
Jud
Judg 17:7-8
a young man from Bethlehem in Judah and from a family of Judah. He was a Levite but was a stranger there. 8 He left that town, Bethlehem in Judah, seeking his fortune. He got as far as the hill country of Ephraim and showed up at Micah's house.
…seeking his fortune.. He sought money-not God!
Jud
Judg 17:3
As he returned the 1,100 silver pieces to his mother, she said, "I had totally consecrated this money to GOD for my son to make a statue, a cast god
Using money to do something is not a consecration to God!
Jud
Judg 16:5
Each man's company will give you a hundred shekels of silver.
The promise of money will make anyone do anything!
bnkruptcy
Judg 14:15
Have you invited us here to bankrupt us?
Humans THINK that nothing is worse than bankruptcy
Jud
Judg 14:6
6 The Spirit of GOD came on him powerfully and he ripped it open barehanded, like tearing a young goat. But he didn't tell his parents what he had done.
The great reversal…
Jud
Judg 11:39-40
It became a custom in Israel 40 that for four days every year the young women of Israel went out to mourn for the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite.
It began as an act of faith but it became a tradition!
God's kingdom
God’s kingdom is God’s kingdom so just because God used people to tell His story in the Bible that doesn’t mean that those people will be in God’s kingdom
Jud
Judg 9:46
46 When the leaders connected with Shechem's Tower heard this, they went into the fortified God-of-the-Covenant temple.
Humans THINK the simply saying “God” will save them
Jud
Judg 8:27
27 Gideon made the gold into a sacred ephod and put it on display in his hometown, Ophrah. All Israel prostituted itself there. Gideon and his family, too, were seduced by it.
Even WE can be seduced by “things” rather than simply by God
Jud
Judg 8:3
When they heard this, they calmed down and cooled off
At times we will have to say things to cool people off-that’s the faith & works thing…
Josh
Josh 10:6
6 The men of Gibeon sent word to Joshua camped at Gilgal, "Don't let us down now! Come up here quickly! Save us! Help us!
Even though THEY were in the wrong too they asked for help!
Josh
Josh 9:24
They answered Joshua, "We got the message loud and clear that GOD, your God, commanded through his servant Moses
People will do anything possible to protect themselves even when it’s wrong!

my choice
My choice in life can be to either make myself a very special person for society on Earth OR to make myself help other human beings to go to Heaven and I choose the latter
rely on
You HAVE to make a choice: Either you have to rely on yourself to become sufficient OR rely on God to make you sufficient. And I would rather rely on God to do it!
result
You can either strive very hard to make something out of yourself during your life on Earth or relax and let God make something out of you for a future in Heaven and I rely on God
special
In our world adults are thought to be very special but in God’s world children are viewed to be most special! Very different!
Josh
Josh 2:4-6
4 The woman had taken the two men and hidden them. She said, "Yes, two men did come to me, but I didn't know where they'd come from. 5 At dark, when the gate was about to be shut, the men left. But I have no idea where they went. Hurry up! Chase them — you can still catch them!" 6(She had actually taken them up on the roof and hidden them under the stalks of flax that were spread out for her on the roof.)
Faith AND works
Deu
Deut 30:12-14
12 It's not on a high mountain — you don't have to get mountaineers to climb the peak and bring it down to your level and explain it before you can live it. 13 And it's not across the ocean — you don't have to send sailors out to get it, bring it back, and then explain it before you can live it. 14 No. The word is right here and now — as near as the tongue in your mouth, as near as the heart in your chest. Just do it!
And you DON’T HAVE TO EARN A DEGREE!
Deu
Moses said:
Deut 29:14-15
14 I'm not making this Covenant and its oath with you alone. 15 I am making it with you who are standing here today in the Presence of GOD, our God, yes, but also with those who are not here today
THAT’S US!
Deu
Deut 9:6
6 Know this and don't ever forget it: It's not because of any good that you've done that GOD is giving you this good land

Deut 9:6
6 Know this and don't ever forget it: It's not because of any good that you've done that GOD is giving you this good land to own

So Moses preached to Israel but did he do it for money?

future
Most people are extremely happy planning for the future that they know about & can plan however I am extremely happy about the future that I can’t see or plan for
#1
For most people their main goal in life is to be #1 which is a HUGE problem because God already is #1! So the created is trying to be more than the creator
will
Just prior to His crucifixion Jesus taught us that our will is NOTHING compared to God’s will when He said: “…not my will Father but yours be done”
choice
Your business can be based on one of two things: money or God and God is in charge of eternity-so you make the choice…
potter
The difference between me and other people is that to me God is most important and to others other human beings are the most important. To me that’s like the pot talking back to the potter!
both
God required the children if Israel to combine faith and works. They had to demonstrate both their faith to worship Him AND physically prepare themselves to worship Him
Exodus
Ex 17:11-13
11 It turned out that whenever Moses raised his hands, Israel was winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, Amalek was winning. 12 But Moses' hands got tired. So they got a stone and set it under him. He sat on it and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on each side. So his hands remained steady until the sun went down. 13 Joshua defeated Amalek and its army in battle.
This is an example of how faith and works go together! Yes, Moses had faith BUT he was required to display works!
Exodus
Ex 16:8
8 Moses said, "Since it will be GOD who gives you meat for your meal in the evening and your fill of bread in the morning
THIS IS RIGHT THERE IN THE BIBLE but for whatever reason Churches only teach about the bread or manna

Pharaoh ended up owning all the land 21 and the people ended up slaves
The children of Israel

Judah's firstborn, Er, grievously offended GOD and GOD took his life.

In life there are 2 time periods to consider: 1) lifetime on Earth-100 years or so, 2) eternal lifetime-never ending; and I’m concerned with #2
Genesis
God said to Isaac:
Gen 26:5
5 And why? Because Abraham obeyed my summons and kept my charge — my commands, my guidelines, my teachings.
So, do you?
Genesis
Gen 25:21
21 Isaac prayed hard to GOD for his wife because she was barren. GOD answered his prayer and Rebekah became pregnant.
Genesis
Gen 20:6
6 God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know your intentions were pure, that's why I kept you from sinning against me; I was the one who kept you from going to bed with her
Genesis
Gen 19:26
26 But Lot's wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt.
This is in the Bible to WARN US of the effect of eye candy!
Genesis
Gen 12:1-4
GOD told Abram: "Leave your country, your family, and your father's home for a land that I will show you. 2 I'll make you a great nation and bless you. I'll make you famous; you'll be a blessing. 3 I'll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I'll curse. All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you." 4 So Abram left just as GOD said
Genesis
Gen 11:6-9
6 GOD took one look and said, "One people, one language; why, this is only a first step. No telling what they'll come up with next — they'll stop at nothing! 7 Come, we'll go down and garble their speech so they won't understand each other." 8 Then GOD scattered them from there all over the world. And they had to quit building the city. 9 That's how it came to be called Babel, because there GOD turned their language into "babble." From there GOD scattered them all over the world.
Genesis
Gen 10:32
32 This is the family tree of the sons of Noah as they developed into nations. From them nations developed all across the Earth after the flood.
Genesis
Gen 9:18-19
18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ship were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham was the father of Canaan. 19 These are the three sons of Noah; from these three the whole Earth was populated.
Genesis
Gen 9:7
7 You're here to bear fruit for God
So it makes sense that if I wasn’t then I wouldn’t be here!
Genesis
Gen 5:1-2
When God created the human race, he made it godlike, with a nature akin to God. 2 He created both male and female and blessed them, the whole human race.
Genesis
Gen 4:1
4:1 Adam slept with Eve his wife. She conceived and had Cain. She said, "I've gotten a man, with GOD's help!"
ALL CHILDREN ARE BORN THIS WAY!
Genesis
Gen 3:21
21 GOD made leather clothing for Adam and his wife and dressed them.
That’s the way God is! Even though they had disobeyed Him, He helped them!
Genesis
Gen 3:20
20 The Man, known as Adam, named his wife Eve because she was the mother of all the living.
Genesis
Gen 3:11-13
11 GOD said, "Who told you you were naked? Did you eat from that tree I told you not to eat from?"
12 The Man said, "The Woman you gave me as a companion, she gave me fruit from the tree, and, yes, I ate it."
13 GOD said to the Woman, "What is this that you've done?"
"The serpent seduced me," she said, "and I ate."
This is there in the Bible to show us that blaming others for what we have done is not enough to clear us of wrong things and I am an excellent example of that! What others did was wrong but the blame for what I did is on me!
Genesis
Gen 3:6
6 When the Woman saw that the tree looked like good eating and realized what she would get out of it — she'd know everything! — she took and ate the fruit and then gave some to her husband, and he ate.
God has taken the time to show us how powerful eye candy can be!
Genesis
Gen 3:2-4
2 The Woman said to the serpent, "Not at all. We can eat from the trees in the garden. 3 It's only about the tree in the middle of the garden that God said, 'Don't eat from it; don't even touch it or you'll die.'"
4 The serpent told the Woman, "You won't die.”
Opinions… very powerful but wrong!
Genesis
Gen 2:16-17
16 GOD commanded the Man, "You can eat from any tree in the garden, 17 except from the Tree-of-Knowledge-of-Good-and-Evil. Don't eat from it. The moment you eat from that tree, you're dead."
Isn’t this what we do today?
Genesis
Gen 2:12
12 The gold of this land is good.
Yes, it’s good and God created it for our benefit but people don’t remember that!
Genesis
Gen 2:9
Tree-of-Knowledge-of-Good-and-Evil
Tree of knowledge… Hmm, sound like degrees and what people strive for today!
Genesis
Gen 2:7
7 GOD formed Man out of dirt from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life. The Man came alive — a living soul!
People read this fine but God continues to create human beings in a woman’s womb but instead people call that: “nature”.
Genesis
Gen 2:1
Heaven and Earth were finished
this was in the original creation but it will happen again in eternity
creation
In eternity creation will happen again and God could recreate human being too but based on how we have lived our lives on Earth we humans will spend eternity but everything else will be recreated
creation
The Bible begins with creation in Genesis where God created everything that we CAN SEE and what we CAN’T SEE so God has done a very good job of explaining it to us but even still most people don’t understand it or accept it

goal
Most people do whatever they have to do to get their degree to solidify their life on Earth and although life on Earth may take years to complete I do whatever I can to solidify my life in Heaven which is for eternity. If you read and follow the Bible about getting to Heaven it is very clear and I don’t know why more people don’t follow it!
main goal in life
For MOST PEOPLE their goal in life is to accomplish something that will benefit them but my goal in life is to do things that bring God glory. My goal in life has nothing at all to do with me which makes my goal very different from most peoples goal
knowing
Human beings put much more value on knowing the things of this world however the world was created by and belongs to God who lives in Heaven!
Goal in life
For MOST PEOPLE their goal in life is to accomplish something that will benefit them but my goal in life is to do things that bring God glory. My goal in life has nothing at all to do with me!

Jesus said:
Rev 3:4
You still have a few Christians in Sardis who haven't ruined themselves wallowing in the muck of the world's ways. They'll walk with me on parade!
1 John
1 John 2:15-17
15 Don't love the world's ways. Don't love the world's goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father. 16 Practically everything that goes on in the world — wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important — has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him. 17 The world and all its wanting, wanting, wanting is on the way out — but whoever does what God wants is set for eternity.
1 John
1 John 2:3
Here's how we can be sure that we know God in the right way: Keep his commandments.
1 Peter
1 Peter 1:7
it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.
James
James 3:13
Do you want to be counted wise, to build a reputation for wisdom? Here's what you do: Live well, live wisely, live humbly. It's the way you live, not the way you talk, that counts

education
Human beings were created by God to bring Him glory BUT instead of bringing God glory human beings bring glory to themselves through education and instead of being educated by God they have become the ONLY educators that they listen to!
James
James 2:5
Isn't it clear by now that God operates quite differently? He chose the world's down-and-out as the kingdom's first citizens, with full rights and privileges
it doesn't say later, NO! it says full rights and privileges-and that means NOW!
James
James 1:27
27 Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight, and guard against corruption from the godless world.
James
James 1:21
In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life.
James
James 1:6
People who "worry their prayers" are like wind-whipped waves
I hear people say that they “pray” only when they are worried about things!
Hebrews
Heb 11
The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see. 2 The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. 3 By faith, we see the world called into existence by God's word, what we see created by what we don't see. 4 By an act of faith, Abel brought a better sacrifice to God than Cain. It was what he believed, not what he brought, that made the difference. That's what God noticed and approved as righteous. After all these centuries, that belief continues to catch our notice. 5 By an act of faith, Enoch skipped death completely. "They looked all over and couldn't find him because God had taken him." We know on the basis of reliable testimony that before he was taken "he pleased God." 6 It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. 7 By faith, Noah built a ship in the middle of dry land. He was warned about something he couldn't see, and acted on what he was told. The result? His family was saved. His act of faith drew a sharp line between the evil of the unbelieving world and the rightness of the believing world. As a result, Noah became intimate with God. 8 By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God's call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left he had no idea where he was going. 9 By an act of faith he lived in the country promised him, lived as a stranger camping in tents. Isaac and Jacob did the same, living under the same promise. 10 Abraham did it by keeping his eye on an unseen city with real, eternal foundations — the City designed and built by God.
11 By faith, barren Sarah was able to become pregnant, old woman as she was at the time, because she believed the One who made a promise would do what he said. 12 That's how it happened that from one man's dead and shriveled loins there are now people numbering into the millions. 13 Each one of these people of faith died not yet having in hand what was promised, but still believing. How did they do it? They saw it way off in the distance, waved their greeting, and accepted the fact that they were transients in this world. 14 People who live this way make it plain that they are looking for their true home. 15 If they were homesick for the old country, they could have gone back any time they wanted. 16 But they were after a far better country than that — heaven country. You can see why God is so proud of them, and has a City waiting for them. 17 By faith, Abraham, at the time of testing, offered Isaac back to God. Acting in faith, he was as ready to return the promised son, his only son, as he had been to receive him — 18 and this after he had already been told, "Your descendants shall come from Isaac." 19 Abraham figured that if God wanted to, he could raise the dead. In a sense, that's what happened when he received Isaac back, alive from off the altar. 20 By an act of faith, Isaac reached into the future as he blessed Jacob and Esau. 21 By an act of faith, Jacob on his deathbed blessed each of Joseph's sons in turn, blessing them with God's blessing, not his own — as he bowed worshipfully upon his staff. 22 By an act of faith, Joseph, while dying, prophesied the exodus of Israel, and made arrangements for his own burial. 23 By an act of faith, Moses' parents hid him away for three months after his birth. They saw the child's beauty, and they braved the king's decree. 24 By faith, Moses, when grown, refused the privileges of the Egyptian royal house. 25 He chose a hard life with God's people rather than an opportunistic soft life of sin with the oppressors. 26 He valued suffering in the Messiah's camp far greater than Egyptian wealth because he was looking ahead, anticipating the payoff. 27 By an act of faith, he turned his heel on Egypt, indifferent to the king's blind rage. He had his eye on the One no eye can see, and kept right on going. 28 By an act of faith, he kept the Passover Feast and sprinkled Passover blood on each house so that the destroyer of the firstborn wouldn't touch them.
29 By an act of faith, Israel walked through the Red Sea on dry ground. The Egyptians tried it and drowned. 30 By faith, the Israelites marched around the walls of Jericho for seven days, and the walls fell flat. 31 By an act of faith, Rahab, the Jericho harlot, welcomed the spies and escaped the destruction that came on those who refused to trust God.
32 I could go on and on, but I've run out of time. There are so many more — Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, the prophets. . . . 33 Through acts of faith, they toppled kingdoms, made justice work, took the promises for themselves. They were protected from lions, 34 fires, and sword thrusts, turned disadvantage to advantage, won battles, routed alien armies. 35 Women received their loved ones back from the dead. There were those who, under torture, refused to give in and go free, preferring something better: resurrection. 36 Others braved abuse and whips, and, yes, chains and dungeons. 37 We have stories of those who were stoned, sawed in two, murdered in cold blood; stories of vagrants wandering the earth in animal skins, homeless, friendless, powerless — 38 the world didn't deserve them! — making their way as best they could on the cruel edges of the world.
39 Not one of these people, even though their lives of faith were exemplary, got their hands on what was promised. 40 God had a better plan for us: that their faith and our faith would come together to make one completed whole, their lives of faith not complete apart from ours.

2 Tim
2 Tim 3:15-4:1
There's nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another — showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. 17 Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.

Christian
To say that you’re a “Christian” nowadays is the same thing as a title or a degree however per the Bible a Christian is supposed to be Christ like which is very different from the way it is being used!
goal in life
To say: “The sky’s the limit” means the your goal in life only includes the things of this world whereas my goal is not part of this world and can’t be seen!
2 Cor
2 Cor 11:30
30 If I have to "brag" about myself, I'll brag about the humiliations that make me like Jesus
2 Cor
Speaking of God:
2 Cor 9:10
He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God
2 Cor
2 Cor 2:7-8
If all you do is pour on the guilt, you could very well drown him in it. 8 My counsel now is to pour on the love.
I really wish that the Church that withdrew from me had done this!
1 Cor
1 Cor 15:58
Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort.
1 Cor
1 Cor 15:50
our natural, earthy lives don't in themselves lead us by their very nature into the kingdom of God. Their very "nature" is to die, so how could they "naturally" end up in the Life kingdom?
1 Cor
1 Cor 14:1
Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it — because it does. Give yourselves to the gifts God gives you. Most of all, try to proclaim his truth
1 Cor
1 Cor 13
If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.
2 If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing.
3 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.
4 Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self.Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love doesn't strut, Doesn't have a swelled head, 5 Doesn't force itself on others, Isn't always "me first, "Doesn't fly off the handle, Doesn't keep score of the sins of others, 6 Doesn't revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, 7 Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.
8 Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. 9 We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. 10 But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled.
11 When I was an infant at my mother's breast, I gurgled and cooed like any infant. When I grew up, I left those infant ways for good.
12 We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We'll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!
13 But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.
1 Cor
1 Cor 9:18
18 So am I getting anything out of it? Yes, as a matter of fact: the pleasure of proclaiming the gosple at no cost to you. You don't even have to pay my expenses!
1 Cor
1 Cor 7:19
Being Jewish isn't the point. The really important thing is obeying God's call, following his commands.

Just because something is technically legal doesn't mean that it's spiritually appropriate

17 God didn't send me out to collect a following for myself, but to collect a following for him
Romans
Rom 14:8
It's God we are answerable to — all the way from life to death and everything in between — not each other
Romans
Rom 12:3
it's important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.
Romans
Rom 12:1-2
So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life — your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life — and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. 2 Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

The chosen ones of God are those who let God pursue his interest in them, and as a result receive his stamp of legitimacy
Romans
Rom 11:5-6
There's a fiercely loyal minority still — not many, perhaps, but probably more than you think. 6 They're holding on, not because of what they think they're going to get out of it, but because they're convinced of God's grace and purpose in choosing them
Romans
Rom 9:20-23
Clay doesn't talk back to the fingers that mold it, saying, "Why did you shape me like this?" 21 Isn't it obvious that a potter has a perfect right to shape one lump of clay into a vase for holding flowers and another into a pot for cooking beans? 22 If God needs one style of pottery especially designed to show his angry displeasure 23 and another style carefully crafted to show his glorious goodness, isn't that all right?
Romans
Rom 5:21
Grace, because God is putting everything together again through the Messiah, invites us into life — a life that goes on and on and on, world without end

28 Don't you see: It's not the cut of a knife that makes a Jew. 29 You become a Jew by who you are. It's the mark of God on your heart, not of a knife on your skin, that makes a Jew
Romans
Rom 2:13
13 Merely hearing God's law is a waste of your time if you don't do what he commands. Doing, not hearing, is what makes the difference with God.

glory
This is not my personal opinion it is in God’s word-the Bible-so it’s God’s opinion!
At one time there was nothing then the creation of all that we can see occurred to bring God glory and if we want to spend Eternity with Him in His kingdom-Heaven then we HAVE to be bringing Him glory!

John 21:15-17
After breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?"
"Yes, Master, you know I love you."
Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."
16 He then asked a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?"
"Yes, Master, you know I love you."
Jesus said, "Shepherd my sheep."
17 Then he said it a third time: "Simon, son of John, do you love me?"
Peter was upset that he asked for the third time, "Do you love me?" so he answered, "Master, you know everything there is to know. You've got to know that I love you."
Jesus said, "Feed my sheep”
That’s all that I do!

They said, "You're nothing but dirt! How dare you take that tone with us!" Then they threw him out in the street.
People only like hearing about God on THEIR terms
John
John 9:16
16 Some of the Pharisees said, "Obviously, this man can't be from God. He doesn't keep the Sabbath."
They expected the son of God to keep human rules
John
John 9:6-7
Jesus said this and then spit in the dust, made a clay paste with the saliva, rubbed the paste on the blind man's eyes, 7 and said, "Go, wash at the Pool of Siloam" (Siloam means "Sent"). The man went and washed — and saw.
Jesus could have healed him by Himself BUT the man had to have faith
John
John 9:3-5
3 Jesus said, "You're asking the wrong question. You're looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do. 4 We need to be energetically at work for the One who sent me here, working while the sun shines. When night falls, the workday is over. 5 For as long as I am in the world, there is plenty of light. I am the world's Light."

John
John 7:14-15
Jesus showed up in the Temple, teaching. 15 The Jews were impressed, but puzzled: "How does he know so much without being schooled?"
John
Jesus said:
John 6:65
no one is capable of coming to me on his own. You get to me only as a gift from the Father.
John
John 5:34
my purpose is not to get your vote, and not to appeal to mere human testimony
and as His body this is your purpose too!
John
John 3:6
6 When you look at a baby, it's just that: a body you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can't see and touch — the Spirit — and becomes a living spirit.
John
John 2:23-25
many people noticed the signs he was displaying and, seeing they pointed straight to God, entrusted their lives to him. 24 But Jesus didn't entrust his life to them. He knew them inside and out, knew how untrustworthy they were. 25 He didn't need any help in seeing right through them.
Luke
Luke 17:33
33 If you grasp and cling to life on your terms, you'll lose it, but if you let that life go, you'll get life on God's terms.
Luke
Jesus said:
Luke 11:40
Didn't the One who made the outside also make the inside?
And who made the outside? God!
Luke
Luke 11:28
28 Jesus commented, "Even more blessed are those who hear God's Word and guard it with their lives!"
Luke
Luke 11:10
Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need
What you NEED not what you WANT!
Luke
Luke 10:29-37
"And just how would you define 'neighbor'?"
30 Jesus answered by telling a story. "There was once a man traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho. On the way he was attacked by robbers. They took his clothes, beat him up, and went off leaving him half-dead. 31 Luckily, a priest was on his way down the same road, but when he saw him he angled across to the other side. 32 Then a Levite religious man showed up; he also avoided the injured man.
33 "A Samaritan traveling the road came on him. When he saw the man's condition, his heart went out to him. 34 He gave him first aid, disinfecting and bandaging his wounds. Then he lifted him onto his donkey, led him to an inn, and made him comfortable. 35 In the morning he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, 'Take good care of him. If it costs any more, put it on my bill — I'll pay you on my way back.'
36 "What do you think? Which of the three became a neighbor to the man attacked by robbers?"
37 "The one who treated him kindly," the religion scholar responded.
Jesus said, "Go and do the same."
Luke
Luke 10:20
20 All the same, the great triumph is not in your authority over evil, but in God's authority over you and presence with you. Not what you do for God but what God does for you
Luke
Jesus said:
Luke 9:23-24
Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You're not in the driver's seat — I am. Don't run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I'll show you how. 24 Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self
Luke
Luke 8:11-16
The seed is the Word of God. 12 The seeds on the road are those who hear the Word, but no sooner do they hear it than the Devil snatches it from them so they won't believe and be saved.
13 "The seeds in the gravel are those who hear with enthusiasm, but the enthusiasm doesn't go very deep. It's only another fad, and the moment there's trouble it's gone.
14 "And the seed that fell in the weeds — well, these are the ones who hear, but then the seed is crowded out and nothing comes of it as they go about their lives worrying about tomorrow, making money, and having fun.
15 "But the seed in the good earth — these are the good-hearts who seize the Word and hold on no matter what, sticking with it until there's a harvest.
Luke
Luke 7:40-43
40 Jesus said to him, "Simon, I have something to tell you."
"Oh? Tell me."
41 "Two men were in debt to a banker. One owed five hundred silver pieces, the other fifty. 42 Neither of them could pay up, and so the banker canceled both debts. Which of the two would be more grateful?"
43 Simon answered, "I suppose the one who was forgiven the most."
"That's right," said Jesus
Luke
Luke 6:20-23
You're blessed when you've lost it all.
God's kingdom is there for the finding.
21 You're blessed when you're ravenously hungry.
Then you're ready for the Messianic meal.
You're blessed when the tears flow freely.
Joy comes with the morning.
22 "Count yourself blessed every time someone cuts you down or throws you out, every time someone smears or blackens your name to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and that that person is uncomfortable. 23 You can be glad when that happens — skip like a lamb, if you like! — for even though they don't like it, I do . . . and all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company; my preachers and witnesses have always been treated like this.
Luke
Luke 5:14
Your cleansed and obedient life, not your words, will bear witness to what I have done
God came
An OLD childless couple conceives and gives birth to a son then an unmarried virgin conceives and gives birth to a son in a barn and God appears to some shepherds; this is how God came to the Earth
Few
God said:
Matt 22:14
14 "That's what I mean when I say, 'Many get invited; only a few make it.'"
And this is scripture so it will happen and my role is to make the few grow.

being a Christian
Saying that you are a Christian is more than just believing a certain popular way, it is being like Jesus Christ who came to this Earth because we as humans needed Him. So to be a Christian you have to be committed to recognizing that there is a need and changing the way the world thinks
eye candy
God can’t be seen and nothing in the Bible encourages eye candy which is in total contrast to society in this world!
personal goal
The main goal for most people’s lives in to make the most possible out of their lives on Earth but the main goal for me is to make the most on Earth of what God requires of me on Earth so that I can live with Him in eternity
what God says
On the Earth so much attention and dignity is given to money, experience and education that they has become the most important things to human beings but all God says is to listen to Him but I don’t know of a school out there that supports what God wants
Mark
Mark 13:9
You're placed there as sentinels to truth
This is why we’re here! We’re not just here for our jobs we’re here to do God’s will and our jobs get us by while we do His will!
Mark
Mark 12:41-44
41 Sitting across from the offering box, he was observing how the crowd tossed money in for the collection. Many of the rich were making large contributions. 42 One poor widow came up and put in two small coins — a measly two cents. 43 Jesus called his disciples over and said, "The truth is that this poor widow gave more to the collection than all the others put together. 44 All the others gave what they'll never miss; she gave extravagantly what she couldn't afford — she gave her all."
This shows you what impresses Jesus! It’s not the large amount you can give but the fact that you give your all!
Mark
Mark 12:1-9
Then Jesus started telling them stories. "A man planted a vineyard. He fenced it, dug a winepress, erected a watchtower, turned it over to the farmhands, and went off on a trip. 2 At the time for harvest, he sent a servant back to the farmhands to collect his profits.
3 "They grabbed him, beat him up, and sent him off empty-handed. 4 So he sent another servant. That one they tarred and feathered. 5 He sent another and that one they killed. And on and on, many others. Some they beat up, some they killed.
6 "Finally there was only one left: a beloved son. In a last-ditch effort, he sent him, thinking, 'Surely they will respect my son.'
7 "But those farmhands saw their chance. They rubbed their hands together in greed and said, 'This is the heir! Let's kill him and have it all for ourselves.' 8 They grabbed him, killed him, and threw him over the fence.
9 "What do you think the owner of the vineyard will do? Right. He'll come and clean house. Then he'll assign the care of the vineyard to others.”
The man is God the Father and the vineyard is the Earth, the workers are human beings and the servant is Christ
Mark
Mark 11:12-13
As they left Bethany the next day, he was hungry. 13 Off in the distance he saw a fig tree in full leaf. He came up to it expecting to find something for breakfast, but found nothing but fig leaves
Jesus is hungry. Will He find fruit on your tree?
Mark
Mark 11:6
The disciples replied exactly as Jesus had instructed them
See? We’re disciples so we must do the same!
Mark
Mark 10:22
He was holding on tight to a lot of things, and not about to let go.
Yes! You can hold on to the things of this world but they won’t be in eternity!
Mark
Mark 10:15
Mark this: Unless you accept God's kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you'll never get in."
What is the simplicity of a child? A child knows its parent and doesn’t give its opinion!
Mark
Mark 8:34
34 Calling the crowd to join his disciples, Jesus said, "Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You're not in the driver's seat; I am.”
Mark
Mark 5:35
some people came from the leader's house and told him, "Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?"
this is a risk of faith!
Mark
Mark 5:34
a risk of faith
this was much more than simply taking a chance and …maybe… This is moving forward on what you actually believe and knowing that it will happen!
Mark
Mark 4:30-32
30 "How can we picture God's kingdom? What kind of story can we use? 31 It's like a pine nut. When it lands on the ground it is quite small as seeds go, 32 yet once it is planted it grows into a huge pine tree with thick branches. Eagles nest in it."
This is what we plant when we spread God’s word! So we are nothing special, just workers in God’s field!
Mark
Mark 4:26-29
Then Jesus said, "God's kingdom is like seed thrown on a field by a man 27 who then goes to bed and forgets about it. The seed sprouts and grows — he has no idea how it happens. 28 The earth does it all without his help: first a green stem of grass, then a bud, then the ripened grain. 29 When the grain is fully formed, he reaps — harvest time!
Hmm, this sounds just like planting seeds in a pregnancy which ends in a birth of a human being!
Mark
Jesus said:
Mark 4:14-20
14 "The farmer plants the Word. 15 Some people are like the seed that falls on the hardened soil of the road. No sooner do they hear the Word than Satan snatches away what has been planted in them.
16 "And some are like the seed that lands in the gravel. When they first hear the Word, they respond with great enthusiasm. 17 But there is such shallow soil of character that when the emotions wear off and some difficulty arrives, there is nothing to show for it.
18 "The seed cast in the weeds represents the ones who hear the kingdom news 19 but are overwhelmed with worries about all the things they have to do and all the things they want to get. The stress strangles what they heard, and nothing comes of it.
20 "But the seed planted in the good earth represents those who hear the Word, embrace it, and produce a harvest beyond their wildest dreams."
teaching
Jesus of whom I’m His body didn’t go around saying this is wrong or that is wrong, NO! He went around teaching God’s word! So I will too!
Mark
Mark 2:17
17 Jesus, overhearing, shot back, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I'm here inviting the sin-sick, not the spiritually-fit."
And I’m Christ’s body so I am too!
Mark
Mark 2:17
17 Jesus, overhearing, shot back, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I'm here inviting the sin-sick, not the spiritually-fit."
Mark
Mark 2:14
14 Strolling along, he saw Levi, son of Alphaeus, at his work collecting taxes. Jesus said, "Come along with me." He came.
People left their regular work to follow Christ!

schools
Because education is SO IMPORTANT to humans pastors now display educational titles on their names and Churches are like schools and the messages are now much more about how to do your best on this Earth instead of following God’s will
not God's will
people often rely upon God simply as strength to accomplish just their own wills instead of simply being His servants to accomplish His will!
Matt
Matt 17:19
19 When the disciples had Jesus off to themselves, they asked, "Why couldn't we throw it out?"
You MUST realize that the you that you can see can do nothing but the God who can’t be seen can do anything!
Matt
Matt 16:24-25
Jesus went to work on his disciples. "Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You're not in the driver's seat; I am. Don't run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I'll show you how. 25 Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self.”
Matt
Matt 8:34
A mob formed and demanded that Jesus get out and not come back.
God is not always welcomed!
Matt
Matt 7:22-23
I can see it now — at the Final Judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying, 'Master, we preached the Message, we bashed the demons, our God-sponsored projects had everyone talking.' 23 And do you know what I am going to say? 'You missed the boat. All you did was use me to make yourselves important. You don't impress me one bit. You're out of here.'
Matt
Matt 6:20-21
20 Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it's safe from moth and rust and burglars. 21 It's obvious, isn't it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.
Matt
Matt 6:2
2 "When you do something for someone else, don't call attention to yourself. You've seen them in action, I'm sure — 'playactors' I call them — treating prayer meeting and street corner alike as a stage, acting compassionate as long as someone is watching, playing to the crowds. They get applause, true, but that's all they get.”
Matt
Matt 5:44-45
When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, 45 for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best — the sun to warm and the rain to nourish — to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty
Matt
Matt 5:19
take it seriously, show the way for others, and you will find honor in the kingdom
this is why I work every day!
Matt
Your creator said:
Matt 5:14
14 You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world
Matt
Your creator said:
Matt 5:13
Let me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You've lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.
Matt
Matt 5:3-12
3 "You're blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.
4 "You're blessed when you feel you've lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.
5 "You're blessed when you're content with just who you are — no more, no less. That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought.
6 "You're blessed when you've worked up a good appetite for God. He's food and drink in the best meal you'll ever eat.
7 "You're blessed when you care. At the moment of being 'carefull,' you find yourselves cared for.
8 "You're blessed when you get your inside world — your mind and heart — put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.
9 "You're blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That's when you discover who you really are, and your place in God's family.
10 "You're blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God's kingdom.
11 "Not only that — count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. 12 You can be glad when that happens — give a cheer, even! — for though they don't like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.
Matt
Matt 4:4
4 Jesus answered by quoting Deuteronomy
The SON OF GOD quoted scripture so that’s all you need!
Matt
Matt 4:2-3
2 Jesus prepared for the Test by fasting forty days and forty nights. That left him, of course, in a state of extreme hunger, 3 which the Devil took advantage of
Things WILL come up which the Devil will try to use but what counts is whether or not we give him the control and that’s where praying to God helps!
Matt
Matt 4:1
Next Jesus was taken into the wild by the Spirit for the Test. The Devil was ready to give it
The Devil THOUGHT that he could even bother Jesus!
Matt
Matt 3:10
10 What counts is your life. Is it green and blossoming? Because if it's deadwood, it goes on the fire.
Matt
Matt 3:8
8 It's your life that must change, not your skin!
Baptism DOES NOT guarantee salvation!
Matt
Matt 2:5-6
The prophet Micah wrote it plainly:
6 It's you, Bethlehem, in Judah's land, no longer bringing up the rear. From you will come the leader who will shepherd-rule my people, my Israel
The great reversal…
Matt
Matt 1:18
The birth of Jesus took place like this. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. Before they came to the marriage bed, Joseph discovered she was pregnant.

opinion
The important thing is that what I write is not my personal opinion-it is written in God’s word (the Bible) so it’s God’s opinion-NOT MINE, so we can’t change it!
money
People have allowed the desire to make more money on Earth to become much greater than simply following what God has said in the Bible and having a pleasant eternity so yes they’ll pay for it eternally but it seems to be more important to live well on Earth than to pay for it eternally
eternity
All I can do is tell people what God says in the Bible and whether or not people choose to believe it or not is their choice but the results of their choice will last for an eternity
choice
People have to WANT to comply with what God wants or they’ll regret it forever in eternity! I can only tell them what God says and then leave it up to them!People have to WANT to comply with what God wants or they’ll regret it forever in eternity! I can only tell them what God says and then leave it up to them!
WOW factor for people with God
The WOW factor for people with God will be eternity but it will be too late to change anything!
judgment
In the Bible and in the Old Testament God’s judgment day affected people living on Earth but in the New Testament that same thing effects people only in eternity!
God's kingdom
The Bible clearly says that God puts human beings to sleep every night and wakes them up every morning but human beings THINK that they do this all by themselves and the Bible also says that humans are not in the driver’s seat-God is but based on our society and the way we’re raised, human’s THINK that they can do everything based on their own abilities so are you going to spend eternity in God’s kingdom?
Micah
Mic 6:8
what GOD is looking for in men and women. It's quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don't take yourself too seriously — take God seriously.
the driver's seat
The Bible clearly says that God puts human beings to sleep every night and wakes them up every morning but human beings THINK that they do this all by themselves and the Bible also says that humans are not in the driver’s seat-God is but based on our society and the way we’re raised, human’s THINK that they can do everything based on their own abilities
Saturday, August 10, 2013
The created versus the creator
Our society says that you (a human) can do nothing but professional humans can do everything thus stating that the created can do more than the creator
star
Human beings rely on other human beings that they have seen (alive or dead) to do all of kinds things instead of relying on God who they haven’t seen
star
What I see happening is that humans try to be the only star and when that doesn’t work they call on God and expect Him to come through where they couldn’t
star
On Earth God has to be the star and the Bible states that clearly unfortunately human beings think that THEY have to be the star and that’s a huge problem! Human’s trying to out god God!
Jonah
Jonah 1:17
Jonah was in the fish's belly three days and nights.
Jesus was in the grave for three days and nights
Amos
Amos 5:14
You talk about GOD, the God-of-the-Angel-Armies, being your best friend. Well, live like it, and maybe it will happen
Hosea
Hos 6:6
6 I'm after love that lasts, not more religion. I want you to know GOD, not go to more prayer meetings.
Hosea
Hos 1:2
The first time GOD spoke to Hosea he said:
"Find a whore and marry her.
Obviously it is not important to God to be socially acceptable
Dan
Dan 3:27
27 All the important people, the government leaders and king's counselors, gathered around to examine them and discovered that the fire hadn't so much as touched the three men — not a hair singed, not a scorch mark on their clothes, not even the smell of fire on them!
Dan
Dan 3:16-18
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered King Nebuchadnezzar, "Your threat means nothing to us. 17 If you throw us in the fire, the God we serve can rescue us from your roaring furnace and anything else you might cook up, O king. 18 But even if he doesn't, it wouldn't make a bit of difference, O king. We still wouldn't serve your gods or worship the gold statue you set up."
Dan
Dan 2:29-30
29 "While you were stretched out on your bed, O king, thoughts came to you regarding what is coming in the days ahead. The Revealer of Mysteries showed you what will happen. 30 But the interpretation is given through me, not because I'm any smarter than anyone else in the country, but so that you will know what it means, so that you will understand what you dreamed.
Dan
Dan 2:26-28
26 The king asked Daniel (renamed in Babylonian, Belteshazzar), "Are you sure you can do this — tell me the dream I had and interpret it for me?"
27 Daniel answered the king, "No mere human can solve the king's mystery, I don't care who it is — no wise man, enchanter, magician, diviner. 28 But there is a God in heaven who solves mysteries, and he has solved this one
Dan
Dan 1:17
17 God gave these four young men knowledge and skill in both books and life. In addition, Daniel was gifted in understanding all sorts of visions and dreams.
Heaven
You’ve got to be very careful! You’re choices and decisions during this life on Earth will affect your destination in Eternity!
In the Bible as soon as human beings were created sin appeared and Satan was thrown out of Heaven and given the Earth to manage so the things of this world are the things of Satan and Satan will not be in Heaven so the choice to follow them is up to you!

Heaven
The ONLY reason that human beings were even created in the first place was to bring God glory-that’s it! So it you aren’t bringing Him glory then you will not live in His kingdom!!
resurrection
In gardening God has given us a perfect example of human resurrection!
In gardening, a plant grows that doesn’t doesn’t even remotely reflect the seed and in life what is born doesn’t even remotely reflect the seed.
In gardening a plant will grow and may be used for many different things and in life a person will grow and may be used for many different things!
In gardening a plant can be reproduced by its seeds and in life a person can be reproduced by its seeds.
In gardening to reproduce a plant a seed is planted in the earth and in life before resurrection a body is buried in the earth.
In gardening a seed grows from the ground and in life a body is resurrected from the ground!
Thank God for giving us this example!

eternity
To win an eternal you must have faith and faith is wholehearted belief in what you can’t see which makes sense because your prize is somewhere that you can’t see!
Eucation
Everything in life on Earth is based on education and education is 100% based on knowledge of what can be seen but unfortunately you can’t see God so education isn’t based on God
Jer
Jer 9:24
24 If you brag, brag of this and this only: That you understand and know me. I'm GOD, and I act in loyal love.

Psalms
this is my personal favorite thing in the Bible:
Psalms
Ps 119:9
9 How can a young person live a clean life? By carefully reading the map of your Word.
future
When most people think about their future they relate it ONLY to their lives on Earth but when I think of my future I relate it to my destination in Eternity because Eternity is never ending so it’s really my future!

Eternity
For all humans this is VERY IMPORTANT because it’s not my personal opinion but since it’s based on God’s word-the Bible it’s God’s opinion and since God is in charge of our destination in Eternity then this is our future!
As humans we have a choice: to either base our actions on our kingdom or on God’s kingdom. Heaven is God’s kingdom and the Earth is our kingdom and since humans plan to go to God’s kingdom and our choices during our lives on Earth are what our eternal destination is based on then if we plan to go to Heaven we need to base our lives on Earth on God and not ourselves!
as I am
I know that this is NOT something that you would ever expect me to say but I am actually very thankful to God that I am as I am
wants
I NEVER get thirsty for stuff to drink but I’m ALWAYS thirsty for the water of life; I NEVER get hungry for food to eat but I’m ALWAYS hungry for the word of God!
Psalms
Ps 30:3
3 GOD, you pulled me out of the grave, gave me another chance at life when I was down-and-out.

Eternity
Most human beings focus only on what they can see which is very good for this Earth however there is no Earth in eternity so their future is very limited!
