You’ve got to remember that God made the human brain and He helps us to understand when we read the scriptures so an opinion about something that we read in the Bible is OUR opinion and it may not be someone elses which is understandable because we didn’t develop it-God did. I can say this because I have read the Bible before but I read things now that I didn’t know were there plus my situation is one that clearly doesn’t sound scripturally appropriate but it has obviously been done by God so I have no choice but to know something different.

I have NEVER head a sermon on this:
Ezek 20:23-26
23 "'But I did lift my hand in solemn oath there in the desert, and swore that I would scatter them all over the world, disperse them every which way 24 because they didn't keep my laws nor live by my statutes. They desecrated my Sabbaths and remained addicted to the no-god idols of their parents. 25 Since they were determined to live bad lives, I myself gave them statutes that could not produce goodness and laws that did not produce life. 26 I abandoned them. Filthy in the gutter, they perversely sacrificed their firstborn children in the fire. The very horror should have shocked them into recognizing that I am GOD.'

It will not be popular to side for God:
Ezek 5:14-15
14 "When I get done with you, you'll be a pile of rubble. Nations who walk by will make coarse jokes. 15 When I finish my angry punishment and searing rebukes, you'll be reduced to an object of ridicule and mockery, turned into a horror story circulating among the surrounding nations. I, GOD, have spoken.

Jer 20:1-2
The priest Pashur son of Immer was the senior priest in GOD's Temple. He heard Jeremiah preach this sermon. 2 He whipped Jeremiah the prophet and put him in the stocks at the Upper Benjamin Gate of GOD's Temple.
Position is something to mankind but not to God. Jeremiah was doing what God told him to do but mankind’s position didn’t like it so instead of talking to God they punished Jeremiah.

Jer 5:23-24
23 But this people — what a people! Uncontrollable, untameable runaways.
24 It never occurs to them to say,'How can we honor our GOD with our lives,
The God who gives rain in both spring and autumn and maintains the rhythm of the seasons,
Who sets aside time each year for harvest and keeps everything running smoothly for us?'

Isa 52:13-15 53:1-5
"Just watch my servant blossom!
Exalted, tall, head and shoulders above the crowd!
14 But he didn't begin that way.
At first everyone was appalled.
He didn't even look human —
a ruined face, disfigured past recognition.
15 Nations all over the world will be in awe, taken aback,
kings shocked into silence when they see him.
For what was unheard of they'll see with their own eyes,
what was unthinkable they'll have right before them."
Who believes what we've heard and seen?
Who would have thought GOD's saving power would look like this?
2 The servant grew up before God — a scrawny seedling,
a scrubby plant in a parched field.
There was nothing attractive about him,
nothing to cause us to take a second look.
3 He was looked down on and passed over,
a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand.
One look at him and people turned away.
We looked down on him, thought he was scum.
4 But the fact is, it was our pains he carried —
our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us.
We thought he brought it on himself,
that God was punishing him for his own failures.
5 But it was our sins that did that to him,
that ripped and tore and crushed him — our sins!
He took the punishment, and that made us whole.
Through his bruises we get healed.

Repeatedly in the Bible there are references to no god gods and repeatedly mankind is said to perform a great deal of effort and work for them but they’re nothing. Mankinds efforts can’t compare to what God has done but mankind still tries hard to do things rather than trusting in the God who has done everything.

Isa 24:1-3
Danger ahead! GOD's about to ravish the earth and leave it in ruins,
Rip everything out by the roots and send everyone scurrying:
2 priests and laypeople alike, owners and workers alike,
celebrities and nobodies alike, buyers and sellers alike,
bankers and beggars alike, the haves and have-nots alike.
3 The landscape will be a moonscape, totally wasted.
And why? Because GOD says so. He's issued the orders.

Isa 9:6-7
6 For a child has been born — for us!
the gift of a son — for us!
He'll take over
the running of the world.
His names will be: Amazing Counselor,
Strong God,
Eternal Father,
Prince of Wholeness.
7 His ruling authority will grow,
and there'll be no limits to the wholeness he brings.
He'll rule from the historic David throne
over that promised kingdom.
He'll put that kingdom on a firm footing
and keep it going
With fair dealing and right living,
beginning now and lasting always.
The zeal of GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies
will do all this.

From the Old Testament this is a prophecy of Jesus!
Isa 7:14-16
14 So the Master is going to give you a sign anyway. Watch for this: A girl who is presently a virgin will get pregnant. She'll bear a son and name him Immanuel (God-With-Us). 15 By the time the child is twelve years old, able to make moral decisions.

Isa 3:18-23
18 The time is coming when the Master will strip them of their fancy baubles — 19 the dangling earrings, anklets and bracelets, 20 combs and mirrors and silk scarves, diamond brooches and pearl necklaces, 21 the rings on their fingers and the rings on their toes, 22 the latest fashions in hats, exotic perfumes and aphrodisiacs, gowns and capes, 23 all the world's finest in fabrics and design.

I know that what I’m feeling is not popular but hear me out. We were created by God and developed probably before the womb for HIS purposes and the Bible confirms that. With that being true to have to make something better of ourselves is a slap at our creation because it’s saying that we weren’t created sufficiently and I don’t think that we should go there.

Ps 84:10-12
10 One day spent in your house, this beautiful place of worship,
beats thousands spent on Greek island beaches.
I'd rather scrub floors in the house of my God
than be honored as a guest in the palace of sin.
11 All sunshine and sovereign is GOD,
generous in gifts and glory.
He doesn't scrimp with his traveling companions.
12 It's smooth sailing all the way with GOD of the Angel Armies.

Ps 81:6-12
6 "I took the world off your shoulders,
freed you from a life of hard labor.
7 You called to me in your pain;
I got you out of a bad place.
I answered you from where the thunder hides,
I proved you at Meribah Fountain.
8 "Listen, dear ones — get this straight;
O Israel, don't take this lightly.
9 Don't take up with strange gods,
don't worship the latest in gods.
10 I'm GOD, your God, the very God
who rescued you from doom in Egypt,
Then fed you all you could eat,
filled your hungry stomachs.
11 "But my people didn't listen,
Israel paid no attention;
12 So I let go of the reins and told them, 'Run!
Do it your own way!'

Ps 49:16-19
16 So don't be impressed with those who get rich
and pile up fame and fortune.
17 They can't take it with them;
fame and fortune all get left behind.
18 Just when they think they've arrived
and folks praise them because they've made good,
19 They enter the family burial plot
where they'll never see sunshine again.

Job 6:21-23
21 And you, my so-called friends, are no better — there's nothing to you!
One look at a hard scene and you shrink in fear.
22 It's not as though I asked you for anything —
I didn't ask you for one red cent —
23 Nor did I beg you to go out on a limb for me.
So why all this dodging and shuffling?

I’m totally different than most people. For me, life goes on forever so my goal is eternal and not on this Earth. Thus I am not interested in what I become on Earth I am interested in how I fit into Eternity. I am not where I want to be as an Earthly human but I am where I should be eternally and to me that is much more rewarding!

It is possible for humans to amaze humans unfortunately humans amazing humans has become more important than looking to God for a much greater amazement! Humans find ways to amaze other humans and they even use the subject of God to amaze each other but Godly amazement has become not as important as human amazement.

Judg 3:12
But the People of Israel went back to doing evil in GOD's sight.
The Bible says this over and over. Why does anyone think that it’s any different today? Careers, retirements, education and money are what we live side by side with and maybe just maybe God (as Society approves and defines him) is included IF He fits in with what is acceptable.

Josh 4:23-24
23 "Yes, GOD, your God, dried up the Jordan's waters for you until you had crossed, just as GOD, your God, did at the Red Sea, which had dried up before us until we had crossed. 24 This was so that everybody on earth would recognize how strong GOD's rescuing hand is and so that you would hold GOD in solemn reverence always."

I’ve never heard this:
Josh 3:15-16
15 When the priests got to the Jordan and their feet touched the water at the edge (the Jordan overflows its banks throughout the harvest), 16 the flow of water stopped. It piled up in a heap — a long way off — at Adam, which is near Zarethan. The river went dry all the way down to the Arabah Sea (the Salt Sea).
