Neh 5:5
we can't do anything about it because our fields and vineyards are owned by somebody else
Neh 5:8
you're selling these same brothers back into debt slavery!
Neh 8:1
bring the Book of The Revelation of Moses
Neh 9:36
look at us — no better than slaves on this land
Neh 10:29
The Revelation of God given through Moses the servant of God, to keep and carry out all the commandments of GOD our Master, all his decisions and standards
Neh 10:39
We will not neglect The Temple of our God
As Christians WE are The Temple of our God
Neh 12:43
43 That day they offered great sacrifices, an exuberant celebration because God had filled them with great joy
Neh 13:26
Didn't Solomon the king of Israel sin because of women?
Est 1:22
"Every man is master of his own house; whatever he says, goes."
Est 2:17
17 The king fell in love with Esther far more than with any of his other women or any of the other virgins — he was totally smitten by her
Est 2:20
Esther still did what Mordecai told her
Which is in the Bible as an example for us. As Esther was not really Mordechai’s natural child, WE are not God’s natural children either!
Est 3:6
Haman hated to waste his fury on just one Jew; he looked for a way to eliminate not just Mordecai but all Jews throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes.
This is interesting because Society wants to get rid of all true followers of God who go by His standards and not theirs!
Est 8:12
12 The day set for this in all King Xerxes' provinces was the thirteenth day
That’s VERY INTERESTING because society has defined the number 13 as something evil!
Job 1:1
Job was a man who lived in Uz. He was honest inside and out, a man of his word, who was totally devoted to God
Job 1:6-12
One day when the angels came to report to GOD, Satan, who was the Designated Accuser, came along with them. 7 GOD singled out Satan and said, "What have you been up to?"
Satan answered GOD, "Going here and there, checking things out on earth."
8 GOD said to Satan, "Have you noticed my friend Job? There's no one quite like him — honest and true to his word, totally devoted to God and hating evil."
9 Satan retorted, "So do you think Job does all that out of the sheer goodness of his heart? 10 Why, no one ever had it so good! You pamper him like a pet, make sure nothing bad ever happens to him or his family or his possessions, bless everything he does — he can't lose!
11 "But what do you think would happen if you reached down and took away everything that is his? He'd curse you right to your face, that's what."
12 GOD replied, "We'll see. Go ahead — do what you want with all that is his. Just don't hurt him." Then Satan left the presence of GOD.
Job 1:13-22
while Job's children were having one of their parties at the home of the oldest son, 14 a messenger came to Job and said, "The oxen were plowing and the donkeys grazing in the field next to us 15 when Sabeans attacked. They stole the animals and killed the field hands. I'm the only one to get out alive and tell you what happened."
16 While he was still talking, another messenger arrived and said, "Bolts of lightning struck the sheep and the shepherds and fried them — burned them to a crisp. I'm the only one to get out alive and tell you what happened."
17 While he was still talking, another messenger arrived and said, "Chaldeans coming from three directions raided the camels and massacred the camel drivers. I'm the only one to get out alive and tell you what happened."
18 While he was still talking, another messenger arrived and said, "Your children were having a party at the home of the oldest brother 19 when a tornado swept in off the desert and struck the house. It collapsed on the young people and they died. I'm the only one to get out alive and tell you what happened."
20 Job got to his feet, ripped his robe, shaved his head, then fell to the ground and worshiped:
21 Naked I came from my mother's womb,
naked I'll return to the womb of the earth.
GOD gives, GOD takes.
God's name be ever blessed.
22 Not once through all this did Job sin; not once did he blame God.
Job 2:1-7
One day when the angels came to report to GOD, Satan also showed up. 2 GOD singled out Satan, saying, "And what have you been up to?" Satan answered GOD, "Oh, going here and there, checking things out." 3 Then GOD said to Satan, "Have you noticed my friend Job? There's no one quite like him, is there — honest and true to his word, totally devoted to God and hating evil? He still has a firm grip on his integrity! You tried to trick me into destroying him, but it didn't work."
4 Satan answered, "A human would do anything to save his life. 5 But what do you think would happen if you reached down and took away his health? He'd curse you to your face, that's what."
6 GOD said, "All right. Go ahead — you can do what you like with him. But mind you, don't kill him."
7 Satan left GOD and struck Job with terrible sores
Job 2:10
Not once through all this did Job sin. He said nothing against God.
Obviously once again Satan’s “opinion” was wrong! Job complained about himself but he never complained about God!
The entire book of Job is about depending on opinions verses what God clearly says—there’s something to be learned here!
Job 2:11
Three of Job's friends heard of all the trouble that had fallen on him. Each traveled from his own country
To give him their personal opinions
Job 4:1
Then Eliphaz from Teman spoke up
To give his opinion
Job 4:7
Think! Has a truly innocent person ever ended up on the scrap heap?
Do genuinely upright people ever lose out in the end?
Has Job “ended” yet?
Job 4:8
8 It's my observation
Is his observation all there is? Isn’t this just his opinion?
Job 4:17
How can mere mortals be more righteous than God?
How can humans be purer than their Creator?
Job 5:7
Mortals are born and bred for trouble
That’s just his opinion BUT in the Bible God says that we’re here to bring Him glory so that opinion is wrong!
Job 5:27
Yes, this is the way things are — my word of honor!
Is a human’s word of honor greater than God’s written word?
Job 6:27
Are friends just items of profit and loss?
Job 8:1
Bildad from Shuhah was next to give his opinion
Job 8:10
why not let the ancients teach you?
Because they’re humans!
Job 8:20
There's no way that God will reject a good person, and there is no way he'll help a bad one
There’s also no way that a human can even guess at what God does!
Job 11:1
Now it was the turn of Zophar from Naamath to give his opinion:
Job 15:18-19
wise men and women have always taught, holding nothing back from what they were taught 19 By their parents
their parents were human just as they are BUT God is not!
Job 19:29
Worry about your own sins and God's coming judgment, for judgment is most certainly on the way
Job 28:28
Fear-of-the-Lord — that's Wisdom, and Insight means shunning evil
Job 33:12
God is far greater than any human
