From birth our lives are bombarded with competition. From where we are born, to who our parents are, the way we look, what our parents teach us, where we go to school, how we do in school, how far we go in school, our vocations and it never stops it just goes on and on from there no matter how old we are. Competition even transfers to religion which is why Jesus said:
Matt 7:22-24
22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name , and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

But even though He said it, we still do it! He warned us but we still fall into it.

Being someone that had a great deal of human success (and an incurable disease) before to where I am now this is easy for me to see this. I can no longer compete so I have the choice to either believe that I am a lost cause as a human being or believe that I have more than enough as a human being with God and I choose the latter.

Yes, I may have nothing as a human but I have more than I need or want with God. So, will I ever be a successful human? No! But I am a huge winner with God and that makes all the difference to me.

So since what has happened to me has not (yet) happened to you it is time for you to choose between the human path of competition which leads to human success and eternal failure or spiritual success which will not lead to human success but does lead to eternal success.

The BIG CONCERN is not how much you leave behind but where you will spend eternity. Did Jesus speak to you? Because He spoke to me.
