Jesus said that we had to become like children to obtain the kingdom of Heaven.

So what are children like?

They’re just people who depend on their parent. That’s all. There aren’t certain things that they do or say. They aren’t always good either. But they do depend on their parent.

But human people do expect certain things from children. And that’s odd because human children aren’t that way to their parent. And as God’s children we are not treated that way by Him.

Children are “taught” what is expected of them and by whom and they are rewarded for meeting those expectations and punished for not meeting those expectations.

Therefore a child knows what is expected and looks for certain things to happen when they do things.

Nowadays this World expects many things from children. Grades and such are just an example of expectations that are made of a child. And we teach children how to behave based on those expectations. Expectations, expectations, expectations.

However, God does not treat people that way, and we are His children. People just do what they want. At judgment He will evaluate what they have done and based on what they have chosen He will evaluate & choose their destination.

So according to that, we should know that if we remember and please our Father, we’ll know where we’re going?

Actually we don’t have any say so in that at all. He does.

I wish that I could tell you how to behave but I don’t know because it’s not up to me. I just know who to love and depend on.

The Old Testament is filled with story after story of people doing what they chose to do
and “time” went on. And for a long time I didn’t understand what was going on and why it was documented for us, but now I think that I know.

I am extremely handicapped and there are many things that I can’t do anymore, so in this world I do not fit well but in God’s world I fit very well.

I have faith and that’s all and I think that He expects me to have that, but nothing more. Do children have faith in their parent? Yes and I’m supposed to be like a child.

Do you have faith?

Eph 3:20

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably MORE than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
NIV

In society today and as humans MORE is generally thought to mean: “better”, and that may be true but it does not necessarily mean “better” in our World or “better” than what WE thought would happen. No, because WE are not doing it, He is.

So things may or may not be “better” than we thought. That’s not the point at all. Who is doing it? God not us. And the last time I checked no one who is reading this was able to create the World or rise from the dead, but God is.

So what may happen may not question our standards, but WE didn’t create the World, and WE didn’t rise from the dead, but God did.

Therefore if we have faith that He is in control, more than we can ask or imagine, things will happen and may be differently that we had anticipated but that’s ok.

God is our Father. And a father is not just a father for a short time. No, he is always a father. And God knew this long before He became our father. And He is the same yesterday, today and forever. So He never changes, but we do.

So do not be so quick to decide what should or will happen. Just remember who is in control and know that He will do what is best. Even if we don’t.

This came to me because I had gone to the hospital and then was returned back home right away (too soon?) and I had to go right back to the hospital because I was sick. And I wondered “why?”

But when I thought about it then I realized that the exact definition of “more” was not up to me.

Yes, I thought that I would be in the hospital until at least Monday but I came home today and it was NOT what I had anticipated at all. But I’m home anyways. And I firmly believe that it is more than I could ask or imagine.

You don’t ever have to wonder or guess what will happen. God takes care of everything. Even when you are confused or unsure, just rely on God.

Tuesday and Wednesday at lunchtime while drinking I passed out and afterwards I got very cold and sweated a lot. I was scared and confused and so was my roommate.

So I called Hospice. They did come but clearly did not care and gave no hope or explanation.

So I called the Paramedics so they came and called Hospice from here. They wanted to take me to the hospital but Hospice said NO and said that they would come again.

But they never came and the Paramedics left.

So I called the Paramedics again and went to the hospital. After several hours and tests they found out that I had an infection and treated it in the Emergency room. Then the most amazing thing happened!

Then they sent me home!

I couldn’t believe it! They agreed that to pass out twice was not good, they found the problem, treated me and sent me home!

Don’t ever or worry about things. God is good and things will happen. I live unable to make things happen but they do and they’re always good!

Just one of the reasons that I am so amazed is that it’s been 9.5 years since my attack and I’m becoming more and more aware of things!

I’m not dead or a vegetable like I was predicted to be, no I’m getting better and better every day. Will I ever be healed? Most likely no but I would just expect that as “normal” or expected.

No, the things that I see are “unusual” and “not normal” therefore they ARE miracles and I know that they are from God.

I’ve NEVER had so much trouble simply writing something before but I have with this and regardless I WILL WRITE IT!

I have seen things over and over again that say “They have to bring their best game”. Meaning their best talents or do their best. Now, I know that you know what I’m talking about.

People feel that they have to be the best in order to win in life. We are raised that way and we raise our kids that way. But why?

This may just be too simple for me now but I used to feel that SAME WAY! As a child it was my goal in school, and as an adult it was my goal at work. Then it became my goal in life! In fact it was my goal in everything!

Colleges, degrees, houses, cars, money, etc. ALL tell others BIG THINGS about us and where we’ve been and what we’ve been through to get where we are today.

Now that I am nothing and have nothing and no one I can see where this is coming from.

The Bible tells the story of one who always had to be the best – Satan. He was thrown from Heaven and now controls the Earth. And he has been overcome.

But since he rules the Earth and time is not over yet, he still feels the same way and promotes the same thing, remember Adam & Eve? He didn’t really say that you would die…

Satan still feels that he is better than God but we know different! He’s not!

WELL BEING

There’s a commercial by Purina that says “Well Being, we’re all striving for it.”

At first that feels good, but when you read the Bible it doesn’t make sense.

The ruler of this world (Satan) was striving for that over God, and he lost his place as an Angel.

Satan runs this world.

So of course we’re striving for it.

But when you’ve been blessed as I have “Well Being” has been taken away and I constantly win.

Grasp this right away. Satan may rule but God is in charge. But everything, and I mean everything is pointing towards YOU. Now that makes no sense because God is God and you’re not.

That’s how I live.

My desires don’t matter.

My goals don’t matter.

I am God’s child and so are you.

No question that God has been involved in my life.

The only question is Why?

I lived normally and quite successfully as a human for 42 years. Now at 51 I’m very handicapped and very poor and very happy.

I am getting better and better while others feel that I will die soon.

I can’t remember my education. I can’t remember what I used to do. Memory is not something that I have. A wife, kids, parents or sister is not something that I have. But I do remember and am passionate about God.

I am happy only with God.

So my conclusion is that nothing has changed. Things have changed but I have always been God’s child. I am alive as I am because God loves me, and that feels very good.
